Domain Lead ALM

This is where you will work

The Asset & Liability Management (ALM) department is responsible for managing the bank's balance sheet and associated interest rate-, liquidity- and capital risks. Are you hands-on, result oriented and eager to support ALM with high quality, solid model implementations and relevant (IT) solutions? Are you able to understand complex matter, able to see the bigger picture and do you have managerial/ leadership experience and affinity? As the Domain lead ALM within the new Finance Grid, you are responsible for managing the ALM DevOps teams that support ALM and relevant stakeholders with up to date tools, relevant insights and reports.

You are responsible for the ALM domain within the new Finance Grid. The ALM domain consists of seven DevOps teams (55 fte) which are organised along the subjects of Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, Funds Transfers Pricing and Data Sourcing. Your direct reports are the four Product Owners and the Lead Business Developer. You also have close alignment with the IT lead and the DevOps Coach.

The work of the ALM domain is concentrated around calculating ALM metrics and creating relevant insights for the purpose of Balance Sheet Management monitoring and steering, and required reporting. This includes data collection and processing, models and solutions implementations and maintenance, and supporting (weekly and) monthly processes and the IT landscape.

You manage the teams by ensuring that the long term goals of ALM, Finance and the Bank as a whole are clear and supported. You make sure that cross team priorities and dependencies are well aligned and managed and where necessary actively steer on this. You develop and build a professional way of working with clear and solid processes and communication, a constructive challenging mindset, open and collaborative culture, promote ownership and improvement.

You maintain good relationships with your stakeholders, with the goal to maximise value for the ALM function, stay in control of the processes and build future proof solutions. You manage the balance between IT4IT and ALM stakeholder priorities. Within the broader context of the Finance & Risk Business Grids (FRBG), you are well aware of the long term FRBG goals, more specifically the FRBG data and IT architecture and align the ALM domain's work to this.

You will work in a diverse, dynamic and international team that works according to the scaled agile method and is organised in accordance with DevOps way of working. The stakeholder field you need to manage mainly consists of the ALM department itself, 2nd line ALM, ALM Risk modelling, Risk Reporting and Model Validation. Also, the data sources delivering parties are important stakeholders. Ultimately the ALCO and other BRC committees are also their stakeholders since the reports, insights and analysis that are discussed in these committees are based on their input. They have dependencies on the other F&R Grid domains (e.g. Reporting, Controlling, Accounting).

The newly formed Finance Grid consists of ALM, Controlling and Accounting Domains. Together with the Grid Owner and the other Domain leads, you form the leadership of the Grid. Every Domain lead is responsible for managing their own teams and portfolio whilst also ensuring cross-domain alignment and collaboration and a good grid-wide working environment.
