Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Reviewing, evaluating, and underwriting property insurance applications to determine risk acceptability and policy terms.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and agents to attract and retain profitable business, focused on Facultative and Excess & Surplus lines.
• Working collaboratively with other members of the underwriting team to achieve department goals and adhere to underwriting guidelines and regulations.
• Conducting property inspections and assessments when required to accurately gauge exposure and risk.
• Negotiating terms and conditions with brokers and providing unrivaled client service that aligns with the company’s standards and expectations.

Key Skills

Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Solid background and expertise in Excess & Surplus (E&S) property insurance, with specific focus on Facultative reinsurance agreements.
• Exceptional analytical skills to effectively assess risk and make informed underwriting decisions.
