Fund Accountant – Private Equity (Los Angeles, hybrid)

The Opportunity:

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with public accounting experience, particularly those coming from Big 4 or a similar top-tier firm, who has an interest in building a career in Fund Accounting (previous funds experience a plus but not required).

You will play a key role in supporting fund operations, financial reporting, and investor communications, while working closely with the finance and investment teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review periodic fund financial statements and capital account reporting
  • Assist with NAV calculations, investor allocations, and waterfall models
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Maintain internal records and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Support year-end audit and tax processes for multiple fund structures
  • Assist in enhancing accounting processes, systems, and controls
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, legal, and operations teams

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or similar)
  • Strong interest in Fund Accounting (do not need previous funds audit experience)
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
