Product Risk & Governance Analyst – Insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing operation of the Product Oversight and Governance (POG) framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and internal risk policies.
  • Assist with embedding product governance standards and promoting consistent adherence across the organisation.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including POG reports and regulatory disclosures required under PRIIPs, IDD, and applicable local regulations.
  • Track regulatory updates impacting product, sales, and distribution governance, assessing implications for processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready governance records and convert regulatory requirements into clear, practical procedures.
  • Contribute to product and target market assessments, ensuring customer-focused principles are integrated and distribution oversight is supported.
  • Provide guidance on product and distribution governance activities, including compliance reviews, approvals, and post-sale monitoring.
  • Prepare and coordinate product approval and oversight committee documentation, including meeting packs, logs, and minutes.
  • Review and enhance internal governance procedures, conducting gap analyses and engaging relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with risk assessments and support the implementation of mitigation actions.
  • Perform due diligence on distribution partners during on-boarding.
  • Conduct regular oversight of sales and distribution channels, delivering clear reports on risks, findings, and performance trends.
  • Monitor distributor KPIs, highlighting and escalating issues where necessary.
  • Maintain and analyse the NPS framework to drive customer-centric improvements.
  • Track Customer Protection KRIs and associated metrics, developing action plans and reporting to the committee and Group Compliance as required.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • APA qualified or working towards QFA.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle governance.
  • Strong understanding of customer protection frameworks.
  • Experience with product and target market reviews.
  • Capability in conducting risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with sales and distribution oversight.
  • Solid compliance and regulatory knowledge.

  • Italian or French language skills are an advantage.
