With an expanding presence in Asia and strong growth in business activities, the company is now seeking a high-calibre Business Transformation Lead to join the Transformation CoE function in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p> The key responsibilities for this position are as follows: <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Senior member of the Business Transformation CoE function supporting business, distribution and firm-wide transformations initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Strong focus on Distribution Transformation initiatives and projects across Bancassurance, Partnerships and \/ or Agency<\/li>\n<li>Engage with local markets and business units on ideas generation, identify systemic impediments and innovation opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Deep-dive on business process analysis, financial analysis and performance analysis to identify areas of improvement and transformation opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Design project structures, set up approach, project teams, identify resources and priorities to enable the local markets or business units to deliver and execute the transformation initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight on a portfolio of key transformation initiatives across one or more business pillars from initiation and pre-execution stage, establishing the project team, resource identification, coaching project teams from planning to kick-start the project implementation &amp; delivery<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with business units and local country project teams on project status, ensuring adherence on execution and governance framework<\/li>\n<li>Monitor project financials and programs progress, alert of issues identified and facilitate mitigation solutions<\/li>\n<li>Recommend transformation and change initiatives, forecast upcoming demands, provide project financial analysis and planning, transfer ideas between countries \/ markets, articulate ideas into execution priorities and action plans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience: <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An university degree, ideally with project management certification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Business Transformation, Distribution Transformation, Business Strategy, Management Consulting, Project Management and \/ or PMO<\/li>\n<li>Industries experience from sizeable international Insurance firms would be preferred, other industries such as Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Private Banking and \/ or Asset Management<\/li>\n<li>Some exposure to Distribution initiatives would be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience in management consulting \/ strategy consulting firms focusing on Financial Services sector would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Experience in driving, program managing and executing large-scale cross-functional and cross-locations transformation and change management programs with ability to run multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial analysis skills<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to travel occasionally<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills with fluency in English ideally with Cantonese and \/ or Mandarin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/YW15LmhvLjU2ODY4LjExMzA5QG9saXZlcmphbWVzYXNzb2NpYXRlcy5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Expanding International Insurance Group Business &amp; Enterprise-wide Transformation Exposure to Distribution Initiatives in Agency and Bancassurance Our client is a leading international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years&#8217; experience within Investment Operations, Middle Office, Investment Management or Financial Services environments.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets, with experience across fixed income and multi-asset portfolios highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience supporting portfolio management, trade lifecycle management, investment data management and reconciliation processes.<\/li>\n<li>Strong SQL skills with experience querying, analysing and manipulating large datasets.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform complex analysis and data validation.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with BlackRock Aladdin, including portfolio holdings, reference data and investment operations workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience using Bloomberg Terminal for market data, security reference data and investment analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to investment performance, risk analytics and portfolio reporting processes would be beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of automation techniques and scripting languages such as Python would be advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will play a key role in the quarterly financial and regulatory reporting cycle and will coordinate reporting activities in accordance with IFRS. The position requires close collaboration with colleagues across the Finance function, other departments, and senior management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly financial statements and management reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the submission of quarterly regulatory returns.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements under IFRS.<\/li>\n<li>Manage liquidity and cash management processes, including banking administration activities.<\/li>\n<li>Support the preparation of tax filings.<\/li>\n<li>Review and enhance processes and procedures within the scope of the role where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in initiatives aimed at improving departmental and organisational efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake additional ad hoc duties and administrative tasks in line with Finance team priorities and business needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified Accountant.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within a professional services firm or a comparable financial reporting and regulatory environment.<\/li>\n<li>Previous insurance industry experience is desirable but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using SAP reporting tools would be advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Strong report-writing capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Resourceful, proactive, and innovative in resolving issues.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Naturally inquisitive, with the confidence to challenge existing practices and influence positive change.<\/li>\n<li>Highly organised and committed to seeing tasks through to completion.<\/li>\n<li>Efficient, responsive, and focused on meeting deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive problem solver who identifies obstacles and implements practical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible, adaptable, and dependable.<\/li>\n<li>Capable of working independently while engaging and influencing stakeholders across the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/VnkuRG9hbi41OTM3OC4xMTMwOUBvbGl2ZXJqYW1lc2Fzc29jaWF0ZXMuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oliver James&#8217; client is a leading global reinsurance provider with operations across Life &amp; Non-life business lines. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to define requirements, support solution design, and help deliver large-scale transformation outcomes.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation activities across complex asset management initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to identify business needs and define future-state solutions<\/li>\n<li>Develop business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and supporting documentation<\/li>\n<li>Analyze current operating models and identify opportunities for process improvement, enhanced controls, and data quality enhancements<\/li>\n<li>Support target operating model design and business process transformation efforts<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure alignment between requirements and delivered solutions<\/li>\n<li>Maintain key project artifacts, including requirements traceability, decision logs, risks, issues, and dependencies<\/li>\n<li>Support testing activities by defining business scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation approaches<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership and guidance to junior analysts where applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>10+ years of Business Analysis experience within Asset Management\/Investment Management\/Insurance<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of investment operations, investment accounting, portfolio accounting, valuation, and performance reporting<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, including process redesign, data initiatives, system implementations, or operating model changes<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation and actionable solutions<\/li>\n<li>Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience working across business, technology, and vendor teams in complex environments<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity within fast-paced transformation programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Experience<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Exposure to investment data management, data governance, or enterprise data initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Experience with insurance asset management organizations or complex multi-entity investment structures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of public markets, fixed income, private investments, and alternative asset classes<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting front-to-back investment lifecycle processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/TWF4LkdyaWJiZW4uNzE1NDUuMTEzMDlAb2xpdmVyamFtZXNhc3NvY2lhdGVzLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lead Business Analyst &#8211; Asset Management Transformation (Insurance) We are partnering with a leading insurance organization undergoing a significant Asset Management transformation and are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join a high-profile strategic program.
