Lead Business Analyst – Asset Management Transformation (Insurance)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

We are partnering with a leading insurance organization undergoing a significant Asset Management transformation and are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join a high-profile strategic program.<\/p>\n

This role will play a key part in driving business analysis activities across investment operations, accounting, and data initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to define requirements, support solution design, and help deliver large-scale transformation outcomes.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation activities across complex asset management initiatives<\/li>\n
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to identify business needs and define future-state solutions<\/li>\n
  • Develop business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and supporting documentation<\/li>\n
  • Analyze current operating models and identify opportunities for process improvement, enhanced controls, and data quality enhancements<\/li>\n
  • Support target operating model design and business process transformation efforts<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure alignment between requirements and delivered solutions<\/li>\n
  • Maintain key project artifacts, including requirements traceability, decision logs, risks, issues, and dependencies<\/li>\n
  • Support testing activities by defining business scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation approaches<\/li>\n
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior analysts where applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within Asset Management\/Investment Management\/Insurance<\/li>\n
    • Strong understanding of investment operations, investment accounting, portfolio accounting, valuation, and performance reporting<\/li>\n
    • Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, including process redesign, data initiatives, system implementations, or operating model changes<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation and actionable solutions<\/li>\n
    • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills<\/li>\n
    • Experience working across business, technology, and vendor teams in complex environments<\/li>\n
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity within fast-paced transformation programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred Experience<\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Exposure to investment data management, data governance, or enterprise data initiatives<\/li>\n
      • Experience with insurance asset management organizations or complex multi-entity investment structures<\/li>\n
      • Knowledge of public markets, fixed income, private investments, and alternative asset classes<\/li>\n

This individual will oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation support, investor reporting, and operational controls while partnering closely with investment, operations, and client-facing teams.<\/p>\n<p>**This is a hybrid role<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Function:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Lead accounting and reporting functions for investment funds, partnerships, and managed accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to accounting team members while fostering a collaborative environment.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee close processes, including reconciliations, expense accruals, fee calculations, and financial data validation.<\/li>\n<li>Review and analyze portfolio activity, investment transactions, and cash movements to ensure accuracy and completeness.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor financial controls, documentation practices, and reporting procedures to support internal governance requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate complex investment structures, financing arrangements, allocations, and distribution calculations.<\/li>\n<li>Review performance reporting and investment-level analytics for accuracy and consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with auditors, administrators, and other external service providers throughout reporting cycles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Background\/Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Fund accounting & public accounting (tax, audit, assurance) experience within asset management<\/li>\n<li>Experience with complex investment structures, capital activity, allocations, and fund operations.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance to unique investment scenarios.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience managing teams or overseeing accounting professionals is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/bWljaGFlbC5jZWxsaWVyLjA3MjY1LjExMzA5QG9saXZlcmphbWVzYXNzb2NpYXRlcy5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Senior Director Fund Accounting role is available at an investment management firm in LA. This is a highly visible position supporting several specialty business units and serving as a key finance partner across claims, underwriting, third-party administrators (TPAs), and corporate finance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The role is responsible for overseeing loss accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis while ensuring accurate accounting in accordance with contractual agreements. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance professional who enjoys working cross-functionally, analyzing complex insurance data, and driving process improvements within a collaborative environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Location:<\/strong> Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) in one of several East Coast office locations.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Lead the monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting process for losses across assigned business units.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review gross and ceded loss journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely and accurate close activities, including support for quarterly and annual statutory reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Produce monthly loss analyses for senior leadership, identifying trends, variances, and unusual activity while providing meaningful business insights.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze third-party administrator (TPA) claims data, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data quality issues.<\/li>\n<li>Review insurance contracts and policy provisions to ensure financial reporting aligns with contractual terms, including deductible structures, retentions, aggregate limits, corridor deductibles, and other complex policy features.<\/li>\n<li>Support the implementation of new systems, reporting tools, and process enhancements by validating large data sets and identifying opportunities for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Develop strong partnerships with underwriting, claims, IT, TPAs, and finance teams to support operational and financial objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency as the business continues to grow.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in special projects and strategic finance initiatives as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.<\/li>\n<li>5-7+ years of finance or accounting experience within the North American property & casualty insurance industry.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of insurance loss accounting and financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with large, complex data sets.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate anomalies, and communicate findings effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to partner across multiple business functions.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting TPAs, claims accounting, or specialty insurance business units is highly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>CPCU or other insurance-related professional designation is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/Sm9yZGFuLkRpb25uZS4yODYxNS4xMTMwOUBvbGl2ZXJqYW1lc2Fzc29jaWF0ZXMuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Director, Finance About the Opportunity Our client, a leading global property & casualty insurance organization, is seeking a Director, Finance to join its finance team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on maintaining business-critical systems while helping bridge traditional mainframe environments with modern cloud-based technologies.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Senior Mainframe Developer will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and supporting core insurance applications built on DXC platforms. Salesforce sits at the heart of the business, supporting most customer and operational processes, with ongoing initiatives focused on platform modernization, automation, AI adoption, and bringing development capabilities in-house.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Salesforce Development Team Lead will oversee a small team of Salesforce Developers, QA resources, and platform specialists while remaining hands-on with development, solution design, and platform strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the CTO and technology leadership, this individual will help shape the Salesforce roadmap, drive best practices, and build a stronger internal engineering capability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 technical resources<\/li>\n<li>Manage delivery priorities, backlog planning, and development activities<\/li>\n<li>Drive enhancements across Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Customer Community Cloud<\/li>\n<li>Oversee integrations and API connectivity<\/li>\n<li>Support AI-enabled automation and workflow optimization initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Participate in architecture discussions and technical solution design<\/li>\n<li>Help transition ownership from offshore development partners to the internal team<\/li>\n<li>Partner with leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience leading small development teams while remaining hands-on<\/li>\n<li>Strong Salesforce platform expertise and Apex development experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems and APIs<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of modern application architectures and development practices<\/li>\n<li>Interest or experience in AI-driven solutions and automation<\/li>\n<li>Financial services experience is preferred, with lending experience considered a plus<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technology Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salesforce Sales Cloud<\/li>\n<li>Salesforce Experience Cloud<\/li>\n<li>Customer Community Cloud<\/li>\n<li>Apex<\/li>\n<li>APIs and Integrations<\/li>\n<li>Python<\/li>\n<li>AI technologies including Gemini and Claude<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why This Role Stands Out:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a business-critical Salesforce platform while balancing technical leadership with hands-on development.
