Working closely with finance and cross-functional stakeholders, you&#8217;ll play a pivotal role in reducing manual effort, strengthening controls, and delivering scalable, efficient reporting solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The ideal candidate will have gained their accounting experience within a <strong>Big Four accounting firm<\/strong> or a <strong>life insurance company<\/strong>, combining strong technical accounting expertise with hands-on experience in process automation. You&#8217;ll enjoy solving complex problems, challenging traditional ways of working, and using technology to build smarter, more efficient finance processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end close process.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using <strong>Alteryx<\/strong> to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to automate manual finance processes and implement sustainable solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with finance, actuarial, and business stakeholders to improve reporting, controls, and operational effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Support finance transformation initiatives, including process standardisation and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Support internal and external audit activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Previous accounting experience gained within a <strong>Big Four accounting firm<\/strong> or a <strong>life insurance company<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reinsurance experience would be a bonus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience using <strong>Alteryx<\/strong> to automate finance processes, reporting, and data preparation.<\/li>\n<li>A strong interest in finance transformation, automation, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and reporting tools is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively across distributed teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<div> <\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/UnV0aC5Nb3Jhbi41MjkxOC4xMTMwOUBvbGl2ZXJqYW1lc2Fzc29jaWF0ZXMuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seeking a senior Financial Reporting Accountant for life insurance company.
