Someone with a background in real estate, either through public accounting or in-house, with a CPA, will be highly desirable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hybrid: 4 days a week in office<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support and manage the month-end close process while preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify and implement improvements to financial procedures and workflows, including leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency, while supporting special projects and ad hoc analyses<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate day-to-day real estate operations by partnering with property managers on rent collection, operating expense reviews, and lease administration<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage relationships with general contractors for tenant improvements and construction projects, including invoice review, budget tracking, and project coordination<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate tax compliance activities by managing estimated tax payments and collaborating with external advisors to support timely filings and financial deliverable<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain accurate accounting records by managing accounts payable, reconciling general ledger accounts, monitoring cash activity, and ensuring timely vendor payments<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Background\/Experience:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Accounting or Finance experience ina real estate firm. private equity firm, or public accounting is preferred<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">CPA qualification is preferred but not a prerequisite<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience with real estate accounting or property-level financial management is a plus<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Self-starter with the ability to work independently, stay organized, and effectively prioritize competing tasks in a small-team environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent analytical and organizational skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with external advisors and vendors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/bWljaGFlbC5jZWxsaWVyLjMzNTU0LjExMzA5QG9saXZlcmphbWVzYXNzb2NpYXRlcy5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Accountant to join a boutique real estate investment firm and take ownership of accounting, financial reporting, tax and real estate responsibilities. (preferred).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Proven experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Insurance industry experience with a carrier or brokerage is highly preferred.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Candidates without insurance experience will also be considered if they have managed AP\/AR within a business serving a <strong>large customer base<\/strong> and have experience working with high-volume financial systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience implementing or significantly enhancing a payment system, ERP, or similar financial technology is a strong advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial processes.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment supporting sophisticated commercial property owners, investors, developers, and real estate operators.<\/p>\n<p>Working alongside experienced brokers and account executives, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service throughout the policy lifecycle, helping to ensure clients receive timely, accurate, and proactive support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Act as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, responding to service requests and policy-related enquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, evidence of coverage, audits, and other servicing activities.<\/li>\n<li>Review policies and endorsements to ensure coverage details are accurate and consistent with client requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Support the placement and renewal of commercial real estate insurance programs by gathering underwriting information, preparing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and insurance markets.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with proposal preparation, renewal presentations, schedules of insurance, and other client-facing documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate client records and policy information within internal systems and carrier portals.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate billing enquiries and assist with premium and invoicing issues when required.<\/li>\n<li>Help manage surplus lines documentation and regulatory requirements for applicable placements.<\/li>\n<li>Track outstanding items to ensure deadlines are met and clients receive timely communication throughout the renewal and servicing process.<\/li>\n<li>Build strong working relationships with colleagues, carrier partners, and clients while delivering a consistently high standard of service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>2+ years of commercial Property &amp; Casualty insurance experience within a brokerage or agency environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience servicing commercial real estate accounts, including property owners, developers, REITs, investors, or real estate management companies, is highly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Active Property &amp; Casualty insurance license.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working with policy management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized, collaborative, and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree preferred, although relevant insurance experience will also be considered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s on Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative and growing team supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate clients.
