Oliver James have recently partnered with a global alternative asset manager as they seek to hire a Senior Vice President of Fund Accounting to oversee their fast growing multi-credit asset platform.<\/p>\n

The role based in Manhattan will see this Director-level professional be responsible for a wide variety of duties including fund accounting and financial reporting oversight, fund operations, strategic partnership, process improvement, senior management and much more.<\/p>\n

Our client is ideally seeking a CPA qualified professional with 12-18 years of experience across both the public and private sectors (Big 4 & multi-fund asset managers – ideally with diverse experience within private credit\/structured credit platforms.)<\/p>\n

They are offering a competitive salary & bonus package worth up to $350,000 from a purely cash perspective, strong hybrid working, excellent healthcare & 401k benefits, a clear route for progression to the executive level and much more!<\/p><\/div>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  • Oversee all accounting functions including quarterly close packages, income and expense allocations, waterfall calculations, NAV calculations etc.<\/li>\n
  • Review partnership and fund IRRs and other performance metrics on a quarterly basis.<\/li>\n
  • Manage investor capital call and distribution processes.<\/li>\n
  • Oversee credit facility management, including lender reporting, covenant monitoring and borrowing base calculations.<\/li>\n
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Portfolio Management team on overall business development and management including due diligence, fund structuring and fee calculations.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate across internal functions – including Compliance, Legal, Tax and Valuation – as well as external counter-parties including fund administrators and auditors to ensure timely and accurate fund operations.<\/li>\n
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance the scalability and efficiency of fund accounting and financial reporting workflows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 12+ years of experience across both Big 4 public accounting & multi-fund asset managers.<\/li>\n
    • CPA qualification is required.<\/li>\n
    • Broad experience across diverse alternative investment strategies and asset classes is required.<\/li>\n
    • Preferred experience within Private Credit, Direct Lending, Structured Credit and\/or multi-strategy fund structures.<\/li>\n
    • Strong leadership skills \/ executive presence is ideal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Expert<\/strong> to play a key role in shaping the future of their Motor pricing strategy. This is an opportunity to join a business that actively encourages new ideas, challenges conventional thinking and values expertise gained from outside the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a role for someone who simply maintains existing models. They are looking for someone who enjoys building, leading and delivering strategic pricing initiatives from conception through to implementation, while working closely with senior stakeholders across Pricing, Underwriting, IT and Distribution.<\/p>\n<p>You’ll be given the autonomy to challenge the status quo, introduce innovative approaches and influence the future direction of the pricing function.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead strategic pricing projects from initial concept through to implementation and post-launch monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Develop innovative pricing solutions to support new distribution channels, including broker partnerships and new business initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Drive the evolution of pricing methodologies, including algorithmic pricing and the integration of external data sources.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with IT, Data Science, Underwriting and Commercial teams to deliver pricing transformation projects.<\/li>\n<li>Challenge existing pricing approaches and recommend improvements based on market knowledge and technical expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Take ownership of project governance, stakeholder management and delivery timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and support junior pricing analysts and interns, helping to develop the next generation of pricing talent.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a recognised pricing expert within the business, influencing strategic decisions and contributing to long-term commercial success.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We’re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8-10+ years’ experience in General Insurance Pricing.<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience within <strong>Motor Pricing<\/strong> is highly desirable, although Property pricing experience will also be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience leading complex pricing projects and delivering business change.<\/li>\n<li>Strong technical pricing expertise with a commercial mindset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with pricing models, external data and advanced analytical techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and influencing decision-making at senior levels.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience managing or mentoring junior team members.<\/li>\n<li>French market knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What Makes This Opportunity Different?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a business that genuinely values innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. As part of this expansion, they’re looking to appoint an experienced <strong>Business Pricing Actuary<\/strong> to join a highly visible European actuarial team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This is far more than a technical pricing role. You’ll work directly alongside senior underwriting teams, helping to shape pricing strategy, influence portfolio performance and support profitable growth across a diverse Commercial & Specialty portfolio. Je zorgt ervoor dat projecten financieel beheerst blijven en dat risico’s en afwijkingen tijdig zichtbaar zijn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Je werkzaamheden bestaan uit:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Bewaken van budgetten, forecasts, planning en voortgang;<\/li>\n<li>Toepassen van Percentage of Completion;<\/li>\n<li>Analyseren van afwijkingen, risico’s en kansen;<\/li>\n<li>Adviseren en kritisch uitdagen van projectleiders;<\/li>\n<li>Signaleren en escaleren wanneer projecten uit koers raken;<\/li>\n<li>Ontwikkelen van dashboards en voortgangsrapportages;<\/li>\n<li>Verbeteren van Project Control-processen;<\/li>\n<li>Op termijn begeleiden van een junior collega.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Je krijgt veel vrijheid om de rapportages en beheersing van de projectenportefeuille verder in te richten.<\/p>\n<h3>Jouw profiel<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Hbo- of wo-werk- en denkniveau;<\/li>\n<li>Circa vijf jaar finance-ervaring;<\/li>\n<li>Minimaal drie jaar echte Project Control-ervaring;<\/li>\n<li>Ervaring binnen een projectorganisatie;<\/li>\n<li>Kennis van projectbudgettering, forecasting en Percentage of Completion;<\/li>\n<li>Ervaring met het adviseren en be\u00efnvloeden van projectleiders;<\/li>\n<li>Goede beheersing van het Nederlands;<\/li>\n<li>Ervaring met een ERP-systeem is een pr\u00e9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Je bent zelfstandig, proactief en verbetergericht. Reporting into the VP of Internal Audit, this individual will lead a team of auditors while overseeing a blend of risk-based internal audits and SOX activities across the business. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide risk management, and a clearly defined path for career progression within a collaborative, high-performing audit function.<\/p>\n<p>This position can be based in <strong>Jersey City, NJ<\/strong> or <strong>Cleveland, OH<\/strong> and follows a hybrid schedule (4 days in the office, Monday-Thursday).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Lead and execute complex risk-based internal audits across financial, operational, and regulatory areas<\/li>\n<li>Oversee a balanced portfolio of SOX compliance and operational audit engagements, with flexibility based on business priorities<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls while identifying opportunities to strengthen the control environment<\/li>\n<li>Perform root cause analysis and partner with business leaders to develop practical remediation plans<\/li>\n<li>Utilize data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) to improve audit quality and efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Review audit workpapers, reports, and deliverables to ensure compliance with professional auditing standards<\/li>\n<li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-5 audit professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture<\/li>\n<li>Partner with Risk Management, Finance, and business stakeholders to maximize audit coverage and enterprise risk insights<\/li>\n<li>Monitor management action plans and communicate remediation progress to senior audit leadership<\/li>\n<li>Review third-party controls through SOC reports and assess vendor-related risks<\/li>\n<li>Build strong relationships with senior leadership, external auditors, and regulators while supporting the execution of the annual audit plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>CPA, CIA, or another relevant professional audit certification required (must be completed)<\/li>\n<li>Approximately 9+ years of internal and\/or external audit experience<\/li>\n<li>Previous leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Property & Casualty insurance audit experience strongly preferred; financial services audit experience will also be considered<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of risk-based auditing, SOX, internal controls, and corporate governance<\/li>\n<li>Experience using audit management software, electronic workpapers, and data analytics tools<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/Unlhbi5NYWRpZWZza3kuMzAwMDYuMTEzMDlAb2xpdmVyamFtZXNhc3NvY2lhdGVzLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Director of Internal Audit We are partnered with a leading global insurance organization seeking a Director of Internal Audit to join its growing audit leadership team.
