We&#8217;re looking for someone who can understand complex customer and business problems, turn them into clear product requirements, and make informed decisions around priorities, risk, dependencies, and value.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll own the product backlog and work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Design, and Business stakeholders to deliver secure, intuitive digital experiences.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Owning and prioritizing the product backlog based on customer and business value.<\/li>\n<li>Translating complex requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Using customer feedback, data, and journey insights to inform product decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with Engineering and Architecture to deliver identity and platform capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Managing priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment.<\/li>\n<li>Directing a team of engineers to execute against a defined roadmap and workload.<\/li>\n<li>Improving registration, authentication, login, and account access experiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we&#8217;re looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First and foremost, a strong Product Owner or Product Manager with genuine backlog ownership experience &#8211; someone who can take a defined scope of work and execute against it effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Around 4-6 years of relevant Product experience, ideally within a digital product or platform environment.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable operating semi-independently &#8211; able to take direction and drive execution, rather than needing to define your own mandate from scratch.<\/li>\n<li>Customer Identity &amp; Access Management (CIAM) or digital identity experience is a strong plus, not a requirement. Exposure to registration, authentication, MFA, account recovery, SSO, federation, or customer login journeys would be valuable, as would familiarity with SAML, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect.<\/li>\n<li>Any experience working closely with data teams or using data to inform product decisions is also a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within Life Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, FinTech, or another highly regulated environment is desirable &#8211; experience with an insurance carrier is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience leading complex programs involving data, technology, business process, or operational transformation.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of data migration, data transformation, ETL, and\/or enterprise data initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing both internal stakeholders and external vendors or consulting partners.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, including SVP, EVP, COO, and CEO-level stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively across Technology, Data\/Analytics, Finance, Claims, Legal\/Regulatory, and Operations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous or poorly defined challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Strong executive presence, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Highly proactive and persistent; and reports on expenses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The ideal candidate will combine strong FP&amp;A fundamentals with advanced analytical and technical capabilities, along with a proactive mindset toward process improvement, automation, data analytics, and emerging AI solutions.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Analyze expenses across business units, including actual vs. budget, forecast, prior-period, and key-driver variance analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes, with a focus on expense planning, cost drivers, and allocation methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the design and implementation of expense planning processes within Oracle or similar enterprise systems.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and enhance financial datasets, reports, and dashboards using Advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.<\/li>\n<li>Work with large, structured datasets while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve expense reporting and automate recurring financial workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate practical applications of automation, data analytics, and AI to improve financial analysis and reporting efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with business and functional leaders to understand expense drivers and communicate financial results.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare clear, structured analyses and presentations for finance and business stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain strong documentation, controls, and reconciliation processes around expense reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Support ad hoc analysis, strategic initiatives, and special projects as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Strong understanding of FP&amp;A, expense management, budgeting, and forecasting.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the P&amp;C insurance industry and insurance-related financial concepts.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in FP&amp;A, expense reporting, financial analysis, or a similar corporate finance environment.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills; Power Query and\/or Power BI experience strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion\/FCCS, or similar platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with large datasets and data-driven financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success improving processes, automating workflows, or enhancing reporting efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with expense reporting, cost allocations, or budgeting processes is highly valued.<\/li>\n<li>Big 4 or public accounting experience is View To Extend<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;font-size: 11.0pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;color: black\">Daily Rate: <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\">\u20ac300 &#8211; \u20ac350 per day<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;font-size: 11.0pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;color: black\">Location: <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\">Dublin<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;font-size: 11.0pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;color: black\">Working patterns: <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\">2-3 days on-site per week<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in;font-size: 11.0pt\">\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Role Overview<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The PMO Analyst will support the PMO Lead and Programme Management team with programme coordination, governance, reporting, financial tracking and delivery oversight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The role will ensure programme information is accurate, up to date and readily available to support effective decision-making across risks, issues, dependencies, finances, resources and delivery progress.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and programme trackers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate programme reporting, management information and reporting packs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain programme documentation, RAID logs, actions, dependencies and decision records.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support budget tracking, forecasting, invoices, accruals, resource costs and variance analysis.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate governance meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes, actions and decision logs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support change control and monitor change requests through the appropriate approval process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist with resource administration, including onboarding, offboarding, timesheets and supplier engagement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide analysis and general PMO support to the Programme Management team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide continuity and cover for key PMO activities when required.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience &amp; The ideal candidate will combine strong technical finance skills with the ability to translate complex financial results into clear, actionable insights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The role will also play an important part in modernizing the FP&amp;A function through process improvement, automation, data analytics, and emerging AI solutions.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Analyze financial results across multiple business units, including actual vs. budget, forecast, prior-period, and key-driver variance analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including the implementation and enhancement of Oracle-based planning tools.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and enhance financial datasets, reports, and dashboards using advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.<\/li>\n<li>Work with large, structured financial datasets while maintaining strong data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare polished, executive-level PowerPoint presentations and financial reporting packages.<\/li>\n<li>Translate complex financial results into concise narratives and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve FP&amp;A processes and automate recurring reporting and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and implement practical applications of automation, data analytics, and AI to improve efficiency and decision support.<\/li>\n<li>Partner closely with Accounting, FP&amp;A, Systems, and business stakeholders on reporting, planning, and financial analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis, special projects, and strategic initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Strong understanding of P&amp;C insurance accounting and financial metrics, including loss ratio, expense ratio, DAC, combined ratio, and reinsurance.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience in FP&amp;A, financial reporting, financial analysis, or insurance analytics.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within a public company or similarly complex corporate environment preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power Query and\/or Power BI strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion\/FCCS, or similar platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success improving processes, automating workflows, and enhancing financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with large datasets and data-driven reporting environments.<\/li>\n<li>Strong executive communication and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Big 4 or public accounting experience is a plus, particularly experience with reconciliations, documentation, and financial controls.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to financial supplements, MD&amp;A, executive reporting, or rating agency materials is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What We&#8217;re Looking For<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Someone who can roll up their sleeves and work in the details while also understanding the bigger picture.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ownership and ability to operate independently.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.<\/li>\n<li>A continuous-improvement mindset with an interest in automation, data, and AI.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why This Opportunity<\/h2>\n<p>This is a high-impact, highly visible FP&amp;A role with significant exposure to senior finance leadership. Valuation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading reinsurance business seeking a seasoned Health Actuary to join their health solutions business as a leader within their financial reporting and valuation team. <\/p>\n<p>Within this role you will responsible for monitoring and steering the financial performance of the Health Solutions business performance.
