Our client is a profitable, rapidly growing health insurer<\/strong> seeking an experienced employer medical stop-loss specialist to help build its developing ASO and self-funded offering.<\/p>\n

This is a highly visible individual-contributor opportunity with responsibility for shaping the company’s specific and aggregate stop-loss pricing strategy<\/strong>. The successful candidate will become the internal subject-matter expert, with considerable influence over pricing methodologies, processes and systems.<\/p>\n

You’ll review and improve the existing pricing model, advise on deductibles, attachment points and coverage structures, provide current market intelligence and help incorporate stop-loss pricing into the company’s proprietary rating platform. You’ll also partner closely with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Operations and Sales as the ASO portfolio grows. <\/p>\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • ASA or FSA credentialed Actuary would be preferred although experienced stop-loss underwriters will also be considered<\/li>\n
  • Employer medical stop-loss experience<\/li>\n
  • Strong knowledge of specific and aggregate coverage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Hands-on stop-loss pricing or underwriting experience.<\/li>\n
  • Experience reviewing and improving pricing models, assumptions and processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

non-traditional actuarial role. <\/p>\n<p>Senior Actuarial Analyst responsible for analyzing, processing, and drawing insights from customer data, and leading day-to-day relationships with key partners. This role would suit someone who wants to be deeply embedded in one of healthcare’s fastest-growing markets rather than working in a traditional actuarial environment. <\/p>\n<p> <strong>Role requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in a healthcare actuarial role<\/li>\n<li>ASA or FSA designation preferred, pre-ASA required<\/li>\n<li>3-Experience in Medicare claims data and emerging ACO models<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What makes this particularly interesting is the level of ownership and visibility – you’d work directly alongside the founders, COO, and senior actuarial leadership on strategic initiatives shaping the future of value-based care. The successful candidate will become the internal subject-matter expert, with considerable influence over pricing methodologies, processes and systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You’ll review and improve the existing pricing model, advise on deductibles, attachment points and coverage structures, provide current market intelligence and help incorporate stop-loss pricing into the company’s proprietary rating platform.
