The Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n

An established life insurance organization is seeking an experienced investment operations professional to lead investment reference data, security master oversight, and operational governance across a complex investment platform. <\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/div>\n

  • Lead security master and investment reference data operations across multiple asset classes<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Establish and enhance data governance standards, controls, and data quality monitoring processes<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Partner with business and technology stakeholders to support new product launches, portfolio changes, and platform enhancements<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Investigate and resolve data exceptions, operational issues, and control gaps<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Support system implementations, business transformation programs, and testing activities<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Drive process automation, operational improvements, and scalability initiatives<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Develop metrics, reporting, and governance frameworks to monitor operational effectiveness<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation supporting investment operations and data management<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    What We’re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in investment operations, investment accounting, reference data, or securities operations<\/li>\n
    • Strong understanding of investment instruments, security master processes, and data governance practices<\/li>\n
    • Proven ability to collaborate across front, middle, and back-office functions<\/li>\n
    • Experience improving controls, automating processes, and supporting technology or data transformation initiatives<\/li>\n
    • Significant investment accounting experience, ideally within life insurance, annuities or the broader insurance sector.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with platforms such as ePAM, Aladdin, Clearwater or comparable systems; implementation or migration experience is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

assurance function. <\/li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. <\/li>\n<li>Experience evaluating internal controls, documenting business processes, and performing audit testing. <\/li>\n<li>Understanding of risk-based auditing, financial and operational processes, and internal control frameworks. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to independently execute assigned audit procedures, analyze findings, and communicate results effectively. <\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. <\/li>\n<li>Experience insurance organization seeking an experienced Internal Audit leader to oversee and further develop its Internal Audit function.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible leadership opportunity with responsibility for shaping the function’s strategic direction, strengthening its capabilities, and ensuring it continues to evolve alongside the broader organization.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will inherit an established audit team while having the opportunity to assess and enhance existing processes, expand audit coverage, and drive improvements across the function.<\/p>\n<p>This position offers significant exposure to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders, along with the opportunity to play a key role in the organization’s continued growth.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Lead and oversee the Internal Audit function, including the development and execution of a comprehensive, risk-based audit strategy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Assess and enhance existing audit methodologies, processes, and frameworks to support the organization’s evolving needs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Oversee financial, operational, regulatory, compliance, and technology-focused audits across the organization.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide independent assurance and recommendations to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders on internal controls, governance, and risk management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lead, mentor, and develop an established audit team, identifying opportunities to strengthen capabilities and support future growth.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strengthen IT Audit coverage, including technology risks, cybersecurity, and IT general controls.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, Technology, and other business functions to identify emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support the continued development and maturity of the Internal Audit function, including enhancements to reporting, data analytics, and audit practices.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Requirements <\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>15+ years of progressive experience across Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Management, or related assurance functions, including significant leadership experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Must have insurance industry experience, preferably within Property & Casualty insurance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Demonstrated experience leading Internal Audit teams, audit programs, or significant audit engagements within complex organizations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Broad understanding of financial, operational, regulatory, and technology risks, with exposure to IT Audit, cybersecurity, and technology controls.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proven ability to engage and influence senior executives and communicate effectively with Board-level stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience developing or enhancing Internal Audit functions, including audit methodologies, team capabilities, and risk-based audit planning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Must <\/strong><strong>have e<\/strong><strong>xperience within publicly traded organization – Public Accounting exposure highly desirable <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>CPA preferred; CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div><strong>Location:<\/strong> Ohio; candidates must be based locally or willing to relocate.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Working Arrangement:<\/strong> Hybrid, with an on-site presence required three days per week.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Compensation:<\/strong> Competitive executive-level Voor een internationale organisatie zoeken wij een Business Controller Operations die graag met de business aan tafel zit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De organisatie en het team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De organisatie werkt aan nieuwe concepten en het verbeteren van de operationele resultaten. Je krijgt de ruimte om kansen te signaleren, idee\u00ebn aan te dragen en verbeteringen zelf op te pakken.<\/p>\n<p>Je sluit aan bij een financeteam waarbij de cultuur informeel is, de lijnen kort zijn en initiatief wordt gewaardeerd. Business Control en Financial Control zijn duidelijk van elkaar gescheiden. Hierdoor kun jij je richten op analyse, advies en de samenwerking met de operatie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jouw rol<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Als Business Controller Operations ben je de financi\u00eble sparringpartner van de Director Operations en de vestigingsmanagers. Je onderzoekt hoe de operatie presteert, bespreekt afwijkingen en helpt managers om onderbouwde keuzes te maken.<\/p>\n<p>Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Opstellen en bewaken van budgetten en forecasts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Analyseren van financi\u00eble resultaten en operationele KPI’s.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Vertalen van afwijkingen tussen budget en realisatie naar concrete adviezen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Signaleren van risico’s, besparingsmogelijkheden en verbeterkansen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Opstellen en beoordelen van businesscases.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Kritisch toetsen van aannames, plannen en bestaande werkwijzen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Je schakelt met collega’s op de werkvloer tot aan de CFO. Je weet financi\u00eble informatie begrijpelijk te maken en durft door te vragen wanneer cijfers of keuzes om uitleg vragen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wat breng je mee?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Minimaal twee jaar relevante ervaring binnen Business Control.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ervaring met een volledige budgetteringscyclus.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Een stevige financi\u00eble basis en sterke analytische vaardigheden.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Het vermogen om analyses te vertalen naar heldere, praktische adviezen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Een zelfstandige, proactieve houding.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Werk je momenteel als Financial Controller en heb je al veel ervaring met business partnering? The role is an initial 12-month contract, Outside IR35. It is hybrid, with approx 2-3 days per week onsite in London.<\/p>\n<p>The business is currently in the discovery phase of a significant <strong>CenataSure implementation<\/strong>, focused on ceded reinsurance. post-trade and batch processes. <\/li>\n<li>Oversee the interpretation and application of investment guidelines, portfolio restrictions and compliance requirements. <\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve monitoring processes and optimize compliance rules. <\/li>\n<li>Partner with investment professionals, trading, legal, risk and operations teams to resolve complex issues and support business objectives. <\/li>\n<li>Drive automation, data-led improvements and emerging AI-enabled solutions. <\/li>\n<li>Develop and mentor a team, setting clear objectives and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. <\/li>\n<li>Support governance, regulatory changes, audit readiness and the evolution of the wider monitoring framework. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we’re looking for<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct experience in <strong>Investment Compliance<\/strong>, ideally within an asset manager or a buy-side investment environment. <\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of investment guidelines, portfolio restrictions and monitoring processes. <\/li>\n<li>Experience leading, developing and motivating a team. <\/li>\n<li>A track record of improving processes, strengthening controls or supporting transformation initiatives. <\/li>\n<li>Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly. <\/li>\n<li>Experience with Charles River, Aladdin or a comparable investment compliance\/order management platform is beneficial. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This role would suit someone who enjoys The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of Workers’ Compensation regulations, experience interacting with insurance regulators, and a practical, business-oriented approach to compliance.<\/p>\n<h2>General Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Ensure that business processes, products, systems, and procedures comply with applicable insurance laws, regulations, and internal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a subject matter expert on Workers’ Compensation regulatory requirements, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and supporting other commercial P&C lines as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor regulatory developments and communicate changes to relevant business teams, identifying necessary updates to policies, procedures, and operational practices.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development and implementation of market conduct compliance strategies, conducting regular reviews, audits, and assessments to identify potential issues and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with legal and compliance stakeholders to investigate, address, and resolve market conduct concerns and other regulatory matters.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements across underwriting, claims, operations, technology, legal, and other business functions.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the collection, validation, analysis, and submission of regulatory data, including Medicare-related reporting, electronic data interchange (EDI), industry data calls, and other applicable reporting obligations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain relationships with relevant insurance bureaus and industry organizations to support accurate reporting and ongoing compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with third-party claims administrators and external service providers to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and appropriately addressed.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with technology teams and external vendors on data governance, reporting processes, and related compliance initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate existing compliance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and regulatory oversight.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic reviews of regulatory requirements and assess the effectiveness of related compliance controls and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, process documentation, and supporting materials.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to broader compliance initiatives and provide additional support as business needs evolve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications & Experience<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.<\/li>\n<li><strong>10+ years of experience within the P&C insurance industry<\/strong>, with a focus on regulatory compliance, market conduct, or related regulatory functions.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working within a property and casualty insurance organization.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience supporting market conduct compliance, regulatory reviews, audits, or examinations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience interacting with state insurance regulators and coordinating regulatory responses.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation reporting requirements, industry data calls, and relevant insurance bureaus.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with regulatory data, reporting systems, and cross-functional business stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and operate effectively in a hands-on, evolving environment.<\/li>\n<li>A high level of accountability, attention to detail, integrity, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time, eligible candidates must be a US Citizen or green card holder at the time of application. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/QW5nZWxhLkJyZW5kemEuMDE0OTUuMTEzMDlAb2xpdmVyamFtZXNhc3NvY2lhdGVzLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the Opportunity A growing commercial insurance organization is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Regulatory Compliance Manager to join its compliance function, with a primary focus on Workers’ Compensation and additional exposure to other property and casualty lines.
