In deze functie combineer je financi\u00eble administratie met leverancierscontact, probleemoplossing en procesverbetering.<\/p>\n<h2>De functie<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Je komt terecht binnen een grote financi\u00eble afdeling die verantwoordelijk is voor de crediteurenadministratie van meerdere Nederlandse entiteiten. Jaarlijks worden hier ongeveer 260.000 leveranciersfacturen verwerkt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Als Service Specialist Accounts Payable ben jij het aanspreekpunt voor leveranciers en interne stakeholders. existing processes, and support strategic initiatives, including M&amp;A activity.<\/p>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h3>Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Oversee federal, state, local, and indirect tax compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Review tax returns, workpapers, calculations, and technical positions prepared by external tax advisors, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Act as an internal tax subject matter expert, advising Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Legal, and other business functions on tax-related matters.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Manage various non-income tax obligations, including federal excise tax, sales and use tax, personal property tax, gross receipts taxes, and business licenses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Coordinate tax audits and examinations, working with external advisors and regulatory authorities to resolve inquiries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develop and enhance tax processes, internal controls, and documentation to improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Prepare and maintain tax forecasts, analytical models, and reporting dashboards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Oversee external tax advisory relationships, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Research changes in tax legislation and assess potential implications for the organization.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Review tax account reconciliations and support quarterly and annual tax provision processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Participate in M&amp;A-related activities, including tax due diligence, transaction support, and post-acquisition integration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h3>Qualifications:<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>5+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting and\/or a corporate tax function.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong technical knowledge across corporate income tax, partnership taxation, state and local tax, and indirect taxes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience reviewing tax filings and deliverables prepared by external accounting or advisory firms.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Demonstrated ability to develop, document, and improve tax procedures and internal controls.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience with tax provisions and tax accounting is highly desirable.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Exposure to M&amp;A tax due diligence and integration is advantageous.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>CPA preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, or similar analytical tools is beneficial.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of external financial reporting, technical accounting, and accounting policy within a complex business environment.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting directly to the Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting while partnering with senior leadership on technical accounting matters, regulatory requirements, and ongoing process improvements.<\/p>\n<h3>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Oversee the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable reporting standards and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lead technical accounting research and the development and maintenance of accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Partner with senior Finance leadership on complex accounting matters, new transactions, and evolving reporting requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles, including disclosures and external filings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance and Investor Relations to ensure consistency and accuracy in external financial communications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>EXPERIENCE &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Active CPA license required.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, US GAAP, and technical accounting policy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proven leadership experience, including at least five years of team management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience within the insurance industry is preferred, ideally within Property &amp; Casualty.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting matters effectively.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Familiarity with Workiva and advanced Excel preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>THE OPPORTUNITY<\/h3>\n<p>This position offers the opportunity to join a forward-thinking, publicly traded organization in a high-visibility role within Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of external financial reporting, technical accounting, and accounting policy within a complex business environment.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting directly to the Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting while partnering with senior leadership on technical accounting matters, regulatory requirements, and ongoing process improvements.<\/p>\n<h3>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Oversee the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable reporting standards and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lead technical accounting research and the development and maintenance of accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Partner with senior Finance leadership on complex accounting matters, new transactions, and evolving reporting requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles, including disclosures and external filings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance and Investor Relations to ensure consistency and accuracy in external financial communications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>EXPERIENCE &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Active CPA license required.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, US GAAP, and technical accounting policy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proven leadership experience, including at least five years of team management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience within the insurance industry is preferred, ideally within Property &amp; Casualty.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting matters effectively.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Familiarity with Workiva and advanced Excel preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>THE OPPORTUNITY<\/h3>\n<p>This position offers the opportunity to join a forward-thinking, publicly traded organization in a high-visibility role within Finance.
