An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Finance Manager to join the insurance investment platform of a leading, multi-billion-dollar alternative asset manager.<\/p>\n

The firm operates across private equity, private credit, insurance and reinsurance, with an expanding presence across the insurance sector. Its insurance platform is continuing to grow through strategic partnerships, significant reinsurance transactions and the development of new investment structures.<\/p>\n

This is an opportunity for an insurance accounting or financial reporting professional looking to broaden their experience and gain exposure to the alternative investment industry.<\/p>\n

The Opportunity<\/h3>\n

Working within the Insurance Finance team, you will support the accounting, financial reporting and oversight of a growing portfolio of insurance and reinsurance entities and associated investment vehicles.<\/p>\n

The position offers exposure beyond traditional insurance accounting, combining financial reporting with investment activity, reinsurance structures and complex multi-entity environments.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • \n

    Support monthly and quarterly close processes across insurance and reinsurance entities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and general ledger reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Assist with US GAAP financial statements and management reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Review investment positions, reinsurance settlements, capital movements and cash activity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Support statutory and regulatory reporting, including NAIC, BMA and CIMA requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Assist with quarterly and annual audits and liaise with external auditors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Review financial results, investigate variances and provide reporting commentary.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Coordinate with investment, actuarial and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Contribute to the development of accounting processes, reporting infrastructure and internal controls.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What We’re Looking For<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • \n

      2-8 years’ experience within insurance accounting, financial reporting or reinsurance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Experience within a life insurer, annuity provider, reinsurer or insurance group.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Understanding of US GAAP and\/or statutory accounting principles.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Exposure to quarterly close, financial statements, reconciliations and regulatory reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Familiarity with NAIC, BMA or CIMA reporting would be advantageous.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Experience with reinsurance accounting, investment accounting or multi-entity structures is beneficial.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      CPA qualified or working towards qualification preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Strong Excel skills and an interest in alternative investments<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

You’ll be one of the first engineers on a greenfield platform, shaping the React experience from the first screen, with the C#\/.NET services behind it and the AWS foundation underneath. You’ll own the full stack for your business domain: how the UI is structured, how it talks to the services, and how the whole application hangs together. Insurance workflows are complex, and your job is to make them feel clear and intuitive.<\/p>\n<p>You’ll work closely with the Director of Engineering and cross-functional partners, setting technical direction and writing production code every week. You’ll also help decide where to adopt vendor platforms and where to build your own experiences on top of them. AI-assisted tools like Copilot or Cursor are part of how the team works day to day, and you’ll help set that standard.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The tech stack<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><strong>Front end:<\/strong> React<\/li>\n<li><strong>Back end:<\/strong> C#\/.NET, with Python alongside the core stack<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloud:<\/strong> AWS<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ways of working:<\/strong> AI-assisted development (Copilot, Cursor) across coding, testing, debugging and refactoring<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nice to have:<\/strong> GraphQL, event-driven architecture and microservices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you’ll bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You’re a Staff engineer with 8+ years of experience who has owned and delivered complex, production-grade applications from UI to data. You’re strongest on the front end, with deep React experience and a good eye for component design, usability and maintainable UI architecture, but you’re comfortable building the C#\/.NET services behind the interface and running them on AWS. You’ve worked with third-party vendor platforms and know how to judge what to adopt, what to extend and what to build yourself. You use AI-assisted development tools across coding, testing, debugging and refactoring, and you can bring the rest of the team along. You’ve also written Python alongside your core stack.<\/p>\n<p>All of the above are must-haves: React, C#\/.NET, AWS, vendor platform experience, AI-assisted development and Python.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>It would also help if you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare or another regulated environment, including designing for sensitive data (PII\/PHI)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with event-driven architecture and microservices, and the data pipelines that feed the application<\/li>\n<li>GraphQL or semantic-layer exposure<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with contractors or offshore teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You’re curious, collaborative and open to feedback, and you’d rather be hands-on than only advising. The role sits across both proactive cyber incident response advisory and live incident management, helping clients improve resilience while supporting them through high-impact security events.<\/p>\n<p>You will work closely with senior stakeholders and C-suite leaders, advising on cyber incident preparedness, crisis and incident management, response strategies and organisational resilience. Proactive engagements will include incident response planning, playbook development, readiness assessments, wargaming and simulation exercises, training and post-incident reviews. You will also support clients during live cyber incidents, coordinating response activities and working alongside technical specialists to contain threats and minimise business disruption.<\/p>\n<p>At Senior Manager \/ Associate Director level, this is also a significant leadership and commercial role. You will lead complex client engagements, develop senior client relationships, contribute to business development and go-to-market activity, and help shape and grow the Cyber Incident Response offering.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A) Responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the delivery of complex Cyber Incident Response (CIR) advisory and incident management engagements.<\/li>\n<li>Advise clients on incident preparedness, crisis management, response and operational resilience.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the development of incident response plans, scenario-specific playbooks, readiness assessments and post-breach reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Design and facilitate cyber simulations, wargames and incident response exercises, including sessions with senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Support and lead aspects of live cyber incident responses, working collaboratively with technical response specialists and client teams.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders, building strong and lasting relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Lead business development activity, including go-to-market initiatives, proposals, pitches and development of new client opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships across proactive and reactive cyber services.<\/li>\n<li>Lead multidisciplinary teams and take responsibility for successful project, programme, financial and people management.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of new Cyber Incident Response propositions and enhancement of existing services.<\/li>\n<li>Coach, mentor and develop colleagues while helping build capability across the wider Cyber practice.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the external profile and market reputation of the Cyber Incident Response practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>B) Experience & Qualifications<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Significant experience within Cyber Incident Response, incident management, crisis management or a closely related operational cyber role.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of Cyber Incident Response methodologies, including attacker techniques, threat themes and key technical security concepts.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience developing incident response plans, procedures and scenario-specific playbooks.<\/li>\n<li>Experience designing and facilitating cyber incident exercises, simulations, wargames and training sessions for stakeholders at different levels of seniority.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of leading large, complex client engagements or programmes, including project, financial and people management responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience of business development within the private sector, ideally including propositions, pitches, proposals and senior client relationship development.<\/li>\n<li>Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how cyber incidents can affect wider business processes, technology and operational resilience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with and influencing senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex cyber issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional qualifications such as CISSP, ITIL, CompTIA Security+, SANS or equivalent would be beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Existing Government Security Clearance is advantageous, although candidates should be willing to undergo security vetting where required.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and travel across the UK and EMEA when required to support live incidents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZHNoLjQ1OTM2LjExMzA5QG9saXZlcmphbWVzYXNzb2NpYXRlcy5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Manager \/ Associate Director – Cyber Incident Response Advisory & Incident Management This is a senior opportunity within a leading Cyber Risk & Security practice, working with major organisations to strengthen their ability to prepare for, manage and recover from complex cyber incidents. You will turn that understanding into better pricing, better deals and better decisions.<\/p>\n<p>You will be the key finance business partner to the Sales team, working alongside them on pricing, partnerships and performance, while sitting within Finance so you can give independent, evidence-based challenge. The role suits someone who enjoys building things: you will shape the models, reporting and disciplines, not just run them.<\/p>\n<h2>Role and Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake financial planning and analysis within the Finance department.<\/li>\n<li>Provide finance business partnering support.<\/li>\n<li>Revenue and profitability – Build and own profitability reporting by product, customer (agent group and branch), channel and brand, with a consistent, agreed approach to allocating direct and shared costs.<\/li>\n<li>Pricing and margin – Own the pricing models for the Group’s referencing, insurance and guarantor products, and assess proposed price changes before and after they are made, including the effect on volumes, conversion and customer retention.<\/li>\n<li>Data, MI and team – Help define the commercial data and reporting requirements for the Group’s new operating platform, and improve data quality and consistency across systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key Skills<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA), or part-qualified at an advanced stage with equivalent commercial finance experience.<\/li>\n<li>At least three years in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering, ideally in a multi-product, high-volume B2B or B2B2C business.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience of pricing analysis and of customer and product profitability.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, and experience of BI tools such as Power BI.<\/li>\n<li>Confidence to challenge sales and senior colleagues constructively, and to explain financial insight clearly to non-finance audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working with imperfect data, and practical about improving it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/SmFtaWUuRG91ZGllLjIyMTQxLjExMzA5QG9saXZlcmphbWVzYXNzb2NpYXRlcy5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Commercial Finance Manager Purpose of the role As Commercial Finance Manager you will be the Group’s lead on where it makes money, and where it doesn’t, by product, customer and channel. The ideal candidate will possess both strong technical tax knowledge and the ability to independently manage projects, interact with business partners, and take ownership of key deliverables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5-8+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm, national tax practice, insurance company, or large financial services organization.<\/li>\n<li>Strong background in corporate federal income taxation, ASC 740 tax accounting, tax compliance, and quarterly and annual tax provision processes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience researching and documenting technical tax positions and communicating conclusions to management.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate with external advisors, and balance multiple deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of an organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Highly Preferred Insurance Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct experience with life insurance company taxation.<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing or reviewing insurance company tax provisions and deferred tax analyses.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with statutory accounting principles, including SSAP 101 deferred tax accounting and statutory reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of insurance-specific tax concepts, including tax reserves, life\/non-life consolidated return rules, DAC tax considerations, and insurance company filing requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience evaluating reserve changes and their impact on current and deferred taxes.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with statutory financial reporting and insurance regulatory environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/TWF4LkNvdXJ0bmFnZS45ODQxNi4xMTMwOUBvbGl2ZXJqYW1lc2Fzc29jaWF0ZXMuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Tax Associate – Fully remote – $50 – $70 per hour – 6 month contract I’m looking for an experienced tax professional at the Senior Associate level who can quickly contribute in a complex insurance company environment.
