The A&H reinsurance Analytic role involves servicing and active cultivation of relationships with our global clients:

The position of A&H reinsurance Analytic involves servicing and active cultivation of relationships with our clients and includes a broad range of tasks:

- Lead the Accident and Health (A&H) analytic function in building best practices, modelling and processes for effective design and management
- Develop and review actuarial pricing parameters, controls and procedures for accident and health products
- Review and prepare new product proposals and re-rates for A&H business
- Work closely with relevant relationship managers and underwriters, develop appropriate A&H insurance solutions
- Conduct monthly experience and profitability monitoring of A&H book
- Perform business forecasting and portfolio management reports and advise on interpretation of results
- Liaise with cedants on drawing up reinsurance treaties
- Identify issues proactively and alert manager any issues with significant implications
- Marketing activities, including giving presentations at conferences and writing articles
- Review and price reinsurance treaties for lines of business other than A&H

Job Based Competencies

  • Degree holder in Actuarial Science or relevant field
  • Attained professional actuarial qualification e.g. FIA, FSA, SOA, FIAA
  • Medical or relevant health degree is advantageous. Good customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • At least 10+ years of experience in Health and Protection business across both primary and reinsurance companies.
  • Experience in pricing and product development a must, with additional experience in valuation, capital and/or consulting advantageous
  • Strong knowledge in cash flow projections with experience in actuarial software/tools
  • Very good familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel, and ideally in data analysis tools
  • Self-motivated, with the energy and stamina required to bring success to a growing business
  • Good command of spoken and written English, other regional language is advantageous
