Responsibilities:

• Book reinsurance accounting entries while supporting reporting requirements.
• Ability to review reinsurance contracts and understand appropriate accounting methods.
• Oversee the accuracy of journal entries done by staff accountants.
• Properly organize submission of annual and quarterly reporting requirements.
• Ensure performance of key internal controls established for MAR and SOX compliance
• Review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of audited statutory and GAAP financial statements
• Provide documentation needed in support of external and regulatory auditors
• Provided guidance for any potential acquisitions
