THE COMPANY

Oliver James has partnered with a leading player in the Cruising Line industry to secure a highly motivated Head of Trade Sales to manage the business development practice in the DACH region. This is a globally renowned organization who are recognized for their excellent company culture as well as clear internal career progression paths.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for creating and driving the Business Development strategy for the organization for 2023. There will be an important focus on people leadership as you will be managing a team of 12 Sales professionals, moreover the specific responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility of the strategic sales plan for the business
  • Defining and working towards annual sales KPIs
  • Leading a team of 12 resources including Sales Managers and Account Managers
  • Proactive outreach to clients within the travel agency and tour operator space

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in the Cruising Line industry
  • Strong knowledge of current Cruising Line sector trends and market progression
  • Prior successful track record as a Head of Sales/Sales Director within the Cruising Line space
  • Strong, KPI-driven mentality
  • Previous experience managing teams of 10 or above Sales professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (German + English)
