Leading MNC Banking corporation seeking an experienced Engagement Manager from a strategic consulting background to work on global group-wide strategies of the bank.
Principal Responsibilities
This role reports to the Head of Group Strategy. The job holder has the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives focused on delivering maximum value for the Group shareholder.
* Lead the development and execution of the Group's strategic initiatives
* Identifying key issues/opportunities and using internal and external sources to provide actionable recommendations for the Group
* Managing key stakeholders across Group
* Effectively lead execution of the key strategic initiatives including track periodically progress against agreed KPIs
* Communicate (both written and oral) the recommendations/insights with colleagues both within Global Strategy/Group Strategy and outside of the function in form of PowerPoint presentations, Word memos, and Excel documents
* Shape the long-range strategic agenda for the Group through the identification of key industry trends, material organic, and inorganic initiatives, and timely resource allocation moves into different parts of the Group
* Drive cross-functional projects that address our most critical strategic priorities
* Proactively contributes to effective teamwork within Group Strategy
Requirements
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to draw insights from a complex set of data sources
* Ability to work independently ('stand-alone') and collaboratively within a small team with a flat structure
* Understanding of the financial services sector and banking products from a client segment, P&L and balance sheet perspective
* Perspective on trends in the banking sector including digitization, data analytics and innovation
* Understanding our banks footprint along with the competitive, regulatory and macroeconomic environment
* Knowledge of key markets in Asia (e.g. Hong Kong, China, India, Singapore) given our strategic focus
* Partnership attitude to build mutually respectful, trust-based relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders across businesses, functions and regions
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence senior stakeholders
* Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred
* Previous consulting and/or in-house strategy experience is preferred
* Unquestioned integrity and the highest standards of ethics and probity
