A leading and growing Insurer is seeking for an Investment Accounting & Reporting Lead of a large team.
- Review and manage the team's financial reporting deliverable and supporting schedules
- Oversee IFRS 9 and expected credit loss program for the group.
- Handle queries from multiple stakeholders (including management, internal and external auditors) and provide guidance to local subsidiaries for in-scope closing processes.
- Maintain close working relationship with custodian bank and fund managers.
- Ensure compliance to group and statutory policies.
- Drive and manage the team's involvement in initiatives and projects.
- Deliver continuous improvement in investment analysis, processes and controls.
- Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
- Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Requirements
- Strong Degree in Accountancy or Finance. CFA and/or CPA certification will be viewed favourably.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience preferably in Insurance and/or Audit industry.
- Good understanding in Financial Markets & Investment Instruments is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational skill, ability to multi-tasking and adaptable to fast changing environment.
- Self-motivated, committed and possess initiative & strong drive to meet tight timeline.
- Excellent project management skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
