Oliver James is currently recruiting for a Modelling actuary to join a high growth non-life insurance and reinsurance firm in Dublin City Centre.

This is a newly created positing within the actuarial function working with a varied team and support the function in developing, designing and implementation of the Solvency II process for the business along with an aspect of reporting in the business wide transformation project.

the key responsibilities for the position will focus on but not limited to the following;

• testing and developing solvency calculations processes for the group
• Analysing and validating your findings and resolving any issues in which may arise.
• Writing software, interacting with software providers and supporting the implementation of code for various projects.
• Writing and reviewing methodology, model and process documentation
• designing and implementing controls.

The position will suit a candidate with 3 years experience within non-life/reinsurance experience and specific understanding of Solvency II standard formula. you will also be self motivated, work well within a team and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
