The role extends in understanding business and customer requirements, process improvement models, operating models, and designing solutions/options whilst ensuring optimum functional alignment delivering and quantifying improvement benefits. The role supports the change and champions continuous performance improvement across various Global Business lines, mainly but not exclusively in the priority markets. The jobholder will be providing support to multiple internal engagements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To deliver transformation programs by identifying and focusing on opportunities for driving a reduction in the overall yearly operating cost within multiple markets in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Identifying opportunities to eliminate, streamline, automate, etc. current (as-is) processes and designing, implementing, delivering / embedding change to deliver the future state (to-be) model
  • To be responsible for leading small/medium scale transformation and reengineering projects & initiatives or supporting other team members/management in driving a large transformation program. In both cases, to deliver an agreed set of business objectives and benefits to meet the overarching portfolio strategy
  • Act as a trusted advisor and a partner to stakeholders to identify and ensure commercially based decisions are taken on prioritizing and optimizing the project portfolio.
  • Work with the businesses as a delivery partner to develop objectives and quantitative recommendations.
  • Identify and recommend innovative solutions that consider and include suitable appropriate emerging improvement trends and solutions.
  • Working across regional and local teams to ensure commonality of understanding and objectives and raising to manager attention in a timely manner when conflict arises.
  • Be knowledgeable of key business drivers and customers, competitors, and emerging trends in the industry landscape.

Skills and Experience:

  • A candidate with 5+ years of overall operational transformation experience and a variety of skills related to executing high and medium complexity projects and consulting engagements.
  • Good experience in project management and process improvement initiatives internally or other large complex organizations. Good understanding of overall banking and financial/consulting services industry knowledge will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of the change process, project lifecycle, and consulting tools and techniques - preferably - Lean Six Sigma experience. Strong problem-solving skills using end-to-end process reviews and data-driven analysis.
  • Exposure/experience with Robotics / A.I. and other light automation tools & techniques will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of how technology/process improvements add value to the business and to the end customer.
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders and demonstrated ability to build rapport rapidly with key stakeholders and to translate ideas into outcomes.
  • Ability to form working relationships at a senior level in the organization.
  • Financial acumen: ability to develop a business case, quantify benefits and translate ideas into outcomes.
  • Good English, enabling good written & verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
