DESCRIPTION

As one of the top global direct insurers, the APAC office in SG has very strong footprints in the region, and is looking to strengthen their digital & analytics capabilities across their P&C portfolio. This is a newly created headcount within the team, and the incumbent should posses strong technical P&C domain knowledge, together with proficiency in data analytics tools/software. Ideally he/she will have relevant experience in Asia markets too.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with business stakeholders in identifying opportunities to improve pricing, reporting and underwriting process with the use of advanced data analytic solution
• Develop and maintain dashboards around profitability, profile trending, exposure level analysis and competitive position.
• Support the development of predictive models and machine learning models around profitability, profile trending, exposure level analysis and competitive position,
• Work closely with partners across the region in understanding the scope of the project, analyses to be performed, managing the work & deliverables, presentation of results and implementation of the models
• Support ad-hoc business intelligence and other strategic initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Actuarial, or related quantitative fields
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics fields
• Solid knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms (e.g., Random Forest, Gradient boosting tree, Neural network, NLP etc.)
• Proficient in Python with strong capabilities in data engineering, data transformation, data analysis and data visualisation. Knowledge of R/SQL will be a plus
• QlikView, QlikSense and PowerApps skills will be an added advantage
• Self-motivated and independent learner with strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organised, and superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creative mindset to look beyond articulated problems and offer alternate perspectives
