Oliver James are currently recruiting for a Risk Systems and Reporting Manager on behalf of our client, a leading Financial Insitute.

This is a newly created role within the business due to continued growth within the organisation. Reporting into the Head of Risk, the Risk Systems and Reporting Manager will be responsible for the automation and implementation of risk reporting within the business and contribute to the overall success of the Risk Management function.

The successful candidates day to day will focus on but not be limited to the following;

  • Conduct business user requirements assessments and prepare requirements documents and business cases as required.
  • Conduct UAT testing to ensure the outcome of testing identifies any issues that might affect the outcome
  • Conduct data lineage/mapping of the systems in use to end reports and design testing for data quality attributes.
  • Design, implement and test reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI and Excel with End User Computing (EUC) controls as required.
  • Leverage and adapt solutions within the wider group but adapted to meet local management and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all work is properly documented in accordance with required standards.
  • Represent the Risk culture of the business in interactions with relevant departments and working groups including preparing project updates as required.
  • Contribute to the assessment and documentation of any outsourcing related to the work done in accordance with Outsourcing policies and procedures.
  • Understand how the financial institution's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in risk automation and reporting along with specific exposure to tableau , power BI and/or eXCEL.
