The Senior Project Manager will join a newly established team to roll-out a 3 year Transformation Programme.
This person is responsible for planning, delivering, and tracking large and complex projects / programmes of work. This includes effective management of resources and stakeholders to deliver the agreed scope, within budget, agreed timeframe and to the highest quality
Key Duties:
- Define, plan, and lead large to complex projects to deliver the strategic goals
- Partner and manage project scope in conjunction with the programme lead / sponsor and ensure appropriate change management is in place.
- Provide leadership and oversight on cross functional project teams.
- Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that manage/mitigate risk & issues.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders to ensure consistent feedback, project delivery and priority management.
- Manage the performance and career management process for defined PMO team members, coaching and mentoring to ensure they have clear objectives and are motivated to achieve maximum potential
- Provide strategic input to the PMO to drive improvements in delivery, structure, and ways of working
- In conjunction with the Programme Director, have oversight governance of the PMO function, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and methodologies: Create a project(s) document library to manage schedules, budgets, registers, progress reports, change requests, close outs etc
