Oliver James is working with a global-leading reinsurer to recruit a part-qualified actuary to join their Strategic Analytics team within their Research and Development division, based in central London.

You'll be using emerging data through data science and analytics to improve the products of the business, and ultimately drive the business forward in growth.

Within the role, you will work closely with other teams in the business such as: pricing, underwriting and business development. The role will include:

• Analysing data for clients, and ultimately develop tools/process/reports that can be integrated into the wider business
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policy data processing and automating where possible.
• Work with third parties and clients to identify and integrate new data sources which could improve risk and product propositions.
• Collaborate with our global Strategic Analytics team to deliver key projects and support ongoing data validation efforts.

This role is based in central London, and will require 2-3 days per week in the office.

Desirable experience:

-Part-qualified actuary

-Life insurance or reinsurance experience

-Experience with manipulating data sets using one or more of the following tools (Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Excel)
