Your responsibilities

You will manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

You will install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

You will proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

You will monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

You will maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

You will write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

You will participate in the design of information and operational support systems

You will provide 2nd and 3rd level support

You will liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

The profile requirements

• You have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• You have a proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
• You have a solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
• You have a solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
• You have an experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
• You have an experience with monitoring systems
• You have an experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
• You have a solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• You have a solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
