Oliver James Dublin are representing a global Life Insurance and Investments organisation in their focus to appoint a Unit-Linked experienced Investment Actuary.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the reviews of Investment Philosophy, Investment Strategy, Strategic Asset Allocations, Investment Policies
  • Oversee the operational investment services provided by outsourced providers
  • Monitor investment/fund performance against mandates/objectives and (where applicable) benchmarks; prepare/review reports
  • Lead liquidity management and strategy reviews
  • Regularly monitor the company's liquidity position
  • Manage meetings of the company's executive Investment Committee
  • Ensure Investment Committee discharges responsibilities in line with its Terms of Reference
  • Provide analysis and commentary on quarterly investment results and investment performance
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer with the shaping and scoping of initiatives to deliver long term financial performance for the company
  • Ensure the unit-linked pricing process is fair and accurate
  • Regularly review standards and policies for the operation of the unit linked funds
  • Monitor box levels and any profit or loss arising from box positions
  • Oversee outsourced administration of unit funds and unit pricing and monitor against predetermined key performance indicators.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience with unit-linked business
  • Experience with investments for insurance companies.
  • Relevant qualification (e.g. actuary; accountant).
  • Fellow of relevant professional body and regular fulfilment of applicable CDP requirements.
  • Ability to apply specialist knowledge to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively work independently.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with Pension business.
