Credit Control Support – Broker (AR)

The successful candidate will assist the Credit Control Team Lead with the daily processing of broker payments and a range of accounts receivable activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, business development teams, underwriters, finance teams, direct sales teams, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to broker enquiries via phone and email, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage broker bank account activities, including payment processing, allocation of funds, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute broker statements, issue cancellation notices, and actively follow up on overdue balances on both a scheduled and adhoc basis.
  • Produce regular financial and operational reports for management.
  • Raise invoices, generate purchase orders, and coordinate payment requests through the organisation’s accounting system to support broker and underwriting operations.
  • Ensure all issues are handled in accordance with internal policies and procedures, escalating matters when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver a high standard of service and support to broker partners.
  • Contribute to management reporting by providing relevant performance and service-related information.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management to support business requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Secondary school qualification (or equivalent) and/or a relevant third-level qualification.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or financial services is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working in a broker-facing environment or within the insurance industry is advantageous but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment is essential.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
