Oliver James have recently partnered with a global alternative asset manager as they seek to hire a Senior Vice President of Fund Accounting to oversee their fast growing multi-credit asset platform.<\/p>\n

The role based in Manhattan will see this Director-level professional be responsible for a wide variety of duties including fund accounting and financial reporting oversight, fund operations, strategic partnership, process improvement, senior management and much more.<\/p>\n

Our client is ideally seeking a CPA qualified professional with 12-18 years of experience across both the public and private sectors (Big 4 & multi-fund asset managers – ideally with diverse experience within private credit\/structured credit platforms.)<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  • Oversee all accounting functions including quarterly close packages, income and expense allocations, waterfall calculations, NAV calculations etc.<\/li>\n
  • Review partnership and fund IRRs and other performance metrics on a quarterly basis.<\/li>\n
  • Manage investor capital call and distribution processes.<\/li>\n
  • Oversee credit facility management, including lender reporting, covenant monitoring and borrowing base calculations.<\/li>\n
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Portfolio Management team on overall business development and management including due diligence, fund structuring and fee calculations.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate across internal functions – including Compliance, Legal, Tax and Valuation – as well as external counter-parties including fund administrators and auditors to ensure timely and accurate fund operations.<\/li>\n
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance the scalability and efficiency of fund accounting and financial reporting workflows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 12+ years of experience across both Big 4 public accounting & multi-fund asset managers.<\/li>\n
    • CPA qualification is required.<\/li>\n
    • Broad experience across diverse alternative investment strategies and asset classes is required.<\/li>\n
    • Preferred experience within Private Credit, Direct Lending, Structured Credit and\/or multi-strategy fund structures.<\/li>\n
    • Strong leadership skills \/ executive presence is ideal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Claims will involve complex losses including litigation and coverage. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Key\/Skills Experience Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years commercial property claims experience gained at an insurance carrier<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of wide ranging commercial property damage claims essential <\/li>\n<li>TPA Oversight experience highly preferred including providing coverage advice to TPAs <\/li>\n<li>Experience within litigation and coverage matters within commercial property claims<\/li>\n<li>Experience handling claims above $100,000 in value through to larger loss limits <\/li>\n<li>Bachelors Degree essential. You will also manage client relationships and provide technical guidance to more junior adjusters. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills\/ Qualifications Required<\/strong><strong>;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive experience within workers compensation claims in the state of CA <\/li>\n<li>Highly experienced with coverage analysis within workers compensation<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to complex losses and litigation within workers compensation <\/li>\n<li>Experience working at an insurance carrier handling WC claims (TPAs also considered)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of all related policy wording and regulations within workers compensation<\/li>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Adjuster License in California – essential <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This role requires 2-3 days in office per week from various CA based office locations.
