This is an opportunity for an experienced insurance operations leader to have a meaningful impact on how a complex underwriting organization operates leading teams, improving processes, leveraging technology, and partnering closely with underwriting leadership to drive greater efficiency and scalability.<\/p>\n

The Opportunity<\/h3>\n

The VP of Operations will oversee the operational infrastructure supporting specialty underwriting teams and will serve as a key partner to senior underwriting leadership.<\/p>\n

This person will have a broad mandate across people leadership, operational strategy, process improvement, technology, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n

  • Partner closely with underwriting leadership to identify and resolve workflow and process challenges.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and implement scalable operating procedures and best practices.<\/li>\n
  • Analyze operational KPIs including submission throughput, quote turnaround, clearance accuracy, policy issuance, service levels, and data quality.<\/li>\n
  • Lead process optimization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.<\/li>\n
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders on systems and workflow improvements.<\/li>\n
  • Establish quality assurance and operational control practices.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with Finance, Compliance, and other functions to improve processes, reporting, and controls.<\/li>\n
  • Provide senior leadership with actionable operational reporting and recommendations.<\/li>\n
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

It is a dedicated infrastructure practice with its own deal dynamics, capital structures, and buyer universe, distinct from generalist TMT.<\/p>\n<p>The team runs on the same fee pools and deal processes as top-tier bulge bracket names, and has recently led high-profile transactions including a lead advisory and bookrunner role on one of the first data center IPOs in years, alongside a major bulge bracket co-advisor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What the role involves<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Building and owning complex financial models, three statement, operating, and transaction models, with full command of underlying drivers and assumptions. Leading M&A processes from origination through close, working directly with senior bankers and clients. Supporting capital markets execution alongside M&A, this group is active across ECM and DCM, not M&A only. Mentoring junior team members as part of a small, tight-knit coverage team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who they’re looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Associate (1-3) with 2 to 3 years of experience and direct exposure to digital infrastructure, data centers, fibre, towers, wireless, or satellite, who can step in with minimal ramp time. Candidates at the Associate 0\/1 or Senior Analyst level will also be considered if they bring strong modelling skills and genuine M&A transaction experience, industry specificity is a plus but not a hard requirement at this level.<\/p>\n<p>Backgrounds in diversified industrials, power and utilities, or mining and metals are welcome given the modelling intensity of those sectors. Candidates from financial sponsors, ECM, DCM, or leveraged finance backgrounds are not a fit for this seat, the bar here is core M&A execution.<\/p>\n<p>Boutique experience is valued if it comes from a shop specialized in digital infrastructure, or a founder\/owner-focused middle market firm with genuine multi-transaction reps. This role will support the BAU security function, with responsibility for monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, managing vulnerabilities and helping improve security controls across Microsoft 365, endpoint, cloud and on-premise environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across cloud, Microsoft 365, endpoint and on-premise environments using tools such as SIEM, EDR\/XDR and Microsoft Defender.<\/li>\n<li>Support incident response activity from initial investigation through to containment, remediation, root-cause analysis and follow-up reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Review vulnerability scan results and security advisories, assess business impact, and coordinate remediation with infrastructure, endpoint and application teams.<\/li>\n<li>Administer and tune Microsoft security tooling, including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and wider Microsoft 365 security features.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with infrastructure, endpoint and service desk teams to improve security posture through hardening, patching and secure configuration changes.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with security governance, risk and compliance activities, including evidence gathering, audit support and alignment with frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR and internal policies.<\/li>\n<li>Support secure network operations by working with relevant teams on firewall rules, VPN access, web filtering and related network security controls.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain practical security documentation, including incident response playbooks, operational runbooks and process notes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline is desirable; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years’ experience in security operations, security engineering or a similar hands-on cybersecurity role, ideally in a regulated, corporate or professional services environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and Microsoft 365 security administration.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR\/XDR, vulnerability management and cloud security tooling; Azure experience would be highly beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of network security fundamentals, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS\/IPS, DNS, TCP\/IP and secure remote access.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using PowerShell or another scripting language to automate routine security or infrastructure tasks would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft security certifications, CISSP, CISM or CEH would be advantageous but are not essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/VnkuRG9hbi45Mjc2NC4xMTMwOUBvbGl2ZXJqYW1lc2Fzc29jaWF0ZXMuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Dublin City Centre Setup: Hybrid (3 days onsite) Oliver James’ client is looking to hire an IT Security Operations Engineer to join its internal technology team. Daarnaast ondersteun je Client Managers bij het invullen en beoordelen van het risico categorie formulier als onderdeel van periodieke KYC-reviews.<\/p>\n<div> Ook draag je bij aan de verwerking van reguliere KYC-analyses (BAU), waaronder het completeren van de CDD dossiers namens de relatiemanagers. Het Client Outreach Team verzorgt de initi\u00eble klantinventarisatie aan de hand van een checklist. Voor een volledige beoordeling conform de WWFT-wetgeving is echter aanvullende analyse vereist.<\/p>\n<p> Sinds 1 januari 2026 zijn de Client Managers verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van de KYC-analyses. Daarnaast ondersteun je Client Managers bij het invullen en beoordelen van het risico categorie formulier als onderdeel van periodieke KYC-reviews. <\/p>\n<div> Ook draag je bij aan de verwerking van reguliere KYC-analyses (BAU), waaronder het completeren van de CDD dossiers namens de relatiemanagers. Het Client Outreach Team verzorgt de initi\u00eble klantinventarisatie aan de hand van een checklist. Voor een volledige beoordeling conform de WWFT-wetgeving is echter aanvullende analyse vereist.<\/p>\n<p> Sinds 1 januari 2026 zijn de Client Managers verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van de KYC-analyses. Voor een volledige beoordeling conform de WWFT-wetgeving is echter aanvullende analyse vereist.<\/p>\n<p> Sinds 1 januari 2026 zijn de Client Managers verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van de KYC-analyses.
