This is a genuinely formative role: you&#8217;ll be the person establishing how client screening and due diligence works for the product from day one, in partnership with our teams in Bermuda and Ireland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reviewing and assessing Client Due Diligence (CDD) documentation for new business applications and in-force servicing requests, against risk appetite, policy and procedure<\/li>\n<li>Screening individual clients<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and escalating money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, adverse media and wider financial crime risk<\/li>\n<li>Recommending appropriate due diligence measures, including Enhanced Due Diligence, and validating customer risk ratings<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out ongoing monitoring, third-party due diligence and quality assurance reviews<\/li>\n<li>Advising stakeholders across the business on CDD requirements<\/li>\n<li>Managing your own workflow to meet SLAs, and contributing to process improvements as the product scales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we&#8217;re looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 years in AML\/CFT, CDD or KYC. <strong>We welcome applications from banking, wealth management and wider financial services<\/strong> &#8211; if you have strong financial crime fundamentals, you will be taught the product<\/li>\n<li>Mandarin and Cantonese language skills are highly preferred for communication with Greater China counterparts<\/li>\n<li>Experience across varied entity types: financial institutions, quoted and private companies, partnerships and trusts<\/li>\n<li>Strong investigative research skills and sound analytical judgement, with the ability to document findings clearly<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with screening systems (Bridger or similar), and solid Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>A recognised AML, compliance or risk certification is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Someone who&#8217;s proactive and comfortable working with autonomy, while knowing when to escalate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/Q2xhcmlzc2EuV29uZy44MTQ1Ni4xMTMwOUBvbGl2ZXJqYW1lc2Fzc29jaWF0ZXMuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>6-12-month contract \u00b7 Singapore \u00b7 Hybrid About the role An MNC direct life insurer is launching a new private wealth product covering Singapore, Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and we&#8217;re building the compliance capability for it here in Singapore. our client is offering a competitive compensation package, strong hybrid working, excellent benefits, a clear route for progression and much more!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Serve as a member of the finance team responsible for accounting and financial reporting oversight for the firm&#8217;s CLO business.<\/li>\n<li>Own the financial reporting process, including monthly performance estimates, close packages\/NAV, allocations, waterfalls and fund returns.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the Fund Administrator responsible for investor reporting, including quarterly investor statements, annual audits, due diligence requests, capital calls and distributions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in cash management forecasts and budgets, alongside debt facility oversight, to establish capital available for investment.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee compliance of fund credit facilities, accurately interpreting agreements while maintaining thorough knowledge of the underlying asset portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Perform data analysis on large asset portfolios, including data reconciliation and calculation of portfolio compliance tests such as portfolio quality and concentration ratios.<\/li>\n<li>Review performance fee calculations and respond to investor queries around fund performance, NAVs, taxes and other areas.<\/li>\n<li>Support audit and tax professionals during year-end audit and tax reporting, and assist with SEC or other regulatory compliance as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>8-12 years of accounting\/finance experience; This is a hands-on role covering everything from functional specifications through to release notes and FAQs, with the scope to also shape how documentation is created and maintained going forward.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>What You&#8217;ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Review existing functional specifications (API &amp; SFTP) to identify gaps and ambiguity<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Data Quality team to translate identified trends into clear, closed-gap documentation<\/li>\n<li>Establish standardised naming conventions and terminology<\/li>\n<li>Produce updated functional specifications for a data platform<\/li>\n<li>Create supporting documentation for customers and internal stakeholders &#8211; release notes, FAQs, and related materials<\/li>\n<li>Plan documentation structure, information architecture, and navigation flows<\/li>\n<li>Edit and maintain consistency of tone, style, formatting, and terminology across all outputs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>What You&#8217;ll Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Strong technical writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to make complex topics accessible<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience producing documentation for software, APIs, cloud, or similar technical products<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working within Agile\/iterative delivery environments and cross-functional teams<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Markdown editors (VS Code, Obsidian), documentation generators (Sphinx, Docusaurus), and Git\/GitHub<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Mulesoft\/Anypoint products is a strong advantage<\/li>\n<li>Diagramming experience (e.g. Visio) useful for supporting content<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of UX writing, content design, or information architecture is desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Bonus Points<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Experience building style guides, reusable documentation templates, or a central technical glossary &#8211; this role has scope to establish these from scratch.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>You Are<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Detail-oriented, user-focused, and comfortable managing multiple documentation projects at once. Venture Capital"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Legal Counsel &#8211; Venture Capital<\/h1>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>London<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Astral Legal is working with a leading Venture Capital firm looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join its London team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded investment business in a broad role spanning <strong>venture capital transactions, funds, corporate and governance matters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>The Role<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Working closely with investment professionals and senior stakeholders across the business, you will provide legal support across the firm&#8217;s investment activities and wider corporate matters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The role will include:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Advising on venture capital investments and transactions<\/li>\n<li>Supporting on fund-related legal matters<\/li>\n<li>Advising on broader corporate transactions and projects<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the business on corporate governance matters<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with investment teams and other internal stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Managing external counsel where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Providing practical and commercially focused legal advice across the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The breadth of the position makes this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the <strong>Venture Capital and wider private markets space<\/strong>, while gaining exposure to both transactional and broader in-house legal work.<\/p>\n<h3>The Candidate<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The firm is interested in speaking with lawyers (3-6 PQE) with strong experience across <strong>corporate\/M&amp;A, venture capital, private equity, investment funds or related transactional work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You are likely to have trained within a well-regarded law firm or gained relevant experience within an investment management or financial services business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You don&#8217;t need to have covered every aspect of the role previously.
