This is a highly technical role. <\/p>\n<p>This will suit a qualified actuary, or someone with significant actuarial experience. You must have strong understanding of DB Scheme specification, be able to build cash flow models in excel and have experience\/understanding of reinsurance reconciliations<\/p>\n<p><strong>Engagement Type:<\/strong> Day rate contract (Daily rate confirmed on discussion)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: UK Based Remote\/Hybrid<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start:<\/strong> ASAP &#8211; can accommodate January starts<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong> Inside IR35 (you must work through an umbrella company, non negotiable)<\/p>\n<p><strong> Required Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Life Actuary, Actuarial experience or similar<\/li>\n<li>5+ years in a similar role (more total years experience welcome)<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of DB Pension scheme specifications. <\/li>\n<li>Excel Cash-flow modelling (Premiums, claims, lump sums, collateral)<\/li>\n<li>Reinsurance reconciliation experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The client is flexible on start dates but the interview process will begin soon. drive growth, loyalty, efficiency and the adoption of consistent customer experience standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Customer insight and journey analysis:<\/strong> Use customer research, journey analytics and business data to identify customer needs, understand pain points and uncover opportunities to improve key touchpoints.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer journey optimisation:<\/strong> Work with business units to develop recommendations, support roadmap planning and track progress against agreed customer and business metrics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CX strategy implementation:<\/strong> Help translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and support the delivery of customer-focused improvements across the organisation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Solution design and delivery:<\/strong> Collaborate with UX\/UI designers, service designers, product teams and technology partners to develop and deliver solutions aligned with customer experience standards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital and web strategy:<\/strong> Contribute to web strategy development through customer research, stakeholder engagement, workshops and the definition of future experience requirements and success measures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital platforms and capabilities:<\/strong> Support initiatives involving digital experience platforms (DXP), CRM, customer data platforms (CDP), analytics, experimentation, accessibility and AI-enabled capabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stakeholder engagement:<\/strong> Build effective relationships across IT, marketing, local markets, business teams and external partners to support the successful delivery of CX initiatives and transformation programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About you<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Around three years of relevant experience in customer experience, service design, digital product development or consulting.<\/li>\n<li>Experience contributing to customer journey or digital experience initiatives, ideally from initial research through to implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of user research, journey mapping and design thinking, with an understanding of service design and human-centred design principles.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to interpret customer insights, analytics and business metrics to identify problems and develop evidence-based recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>A commercial mindset, with an understanding of how customer experience improvements can support business objectives and the ability to communicate their value to non-specialist stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with digital experience capabilities, including content management, CRM, customer data, analytics and experimentation tools.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.<\/li>\n<li>A pragmatic, adaptable approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.<\/li>\n<li>A proactive learning mindset and enthusiasm for exploring new methods, tools and ways of working.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English; additional languages would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience in international or multi-market environments would also be We work across Social Housing, Local Authority and Healthcare, helping our customers deliver better experiences for the communities they serve.<\/p>\n<p>We are growing our Technology function and are looking for a technically minded Business Analyst to join the team.<\/p>\n<p>The Role<\/p>\n<p>As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and software development teams, helping to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered across our AI-led products.<\/p>\n<p>This is a hands-on role for a Business Analyst who is comfortable working alongside engineers and discussing technical solutions, while also being able to translate complex information for customers and non-technical stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>You will work within Scrum teams, collaborating with customers, solution partners, product stakeholders, developers and QA. You will use Jira and Confluence to manage requirements and documentation, alongside product analytics and data to understand user behaviour and support evidence-led decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Elicit and document business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, user needs and desired outcomes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Analyse and document complex processes, workflows and data flows<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain and prioritise the product backlog in Jira<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support sprint planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work closely with developers to understand technical solutions, integrations and data models<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Review APIs, data structures and system behaviour to ensure requirements are feasible and testable<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Identify gaps, dependencies and risks early in the delivery process<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use product analytics and data to understand user behaviour and measure the impact of changes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use SQL to query and validate data where required<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Define success measures for new features and assess outcomes following release<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work with QA to develop test approaches and ensure acceptance criteria are testable<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support testing to validate that solutions meet stakeholder expectations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain requirements, process maps, solution documentation and decision logs in Confluence<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use data and customer insight to support backlog prioritisation and product decisions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>You will have 2+ years&#8217; You&#8217;ll have the opportunity to work across the full data lifecycle, from collecting and transforming data through to building models, deploying solutions and supporting them in production.<\/p>\n<p>Around 80% of your time will be focused on AI product development, data engineering and product enhancement, with the remaining 20% focused on Level 3 technical support.<\/p>\n<h2>What you&#8217;ll be doing<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Build and maintain data pipelines that collect, clean and transform customer and internal data<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develop data analysis and statistical models using R<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Build, test and maintain machine learning and predictive models<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develop and deploy R-based applications and data workflows within AWS<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work with structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns and insights<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Build and maintain ETL\/ELT pipelines and data workflows<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work with AWS services including S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, Glue and CloudWatch<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Monitor data quality, pipeline performance and production issues<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Design and maintain data models and database schemas<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use Git, testing and version control to produce reliable and maintainable code<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Create data visualisations and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Translate business challenges into analytical questions and evidence-based solutions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support behavioural and risk segmentation, research and cost analysis<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide Level 3 technical support, investigating and resolving complex application and data issues<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and continuous improvement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What we&#8217;re looking for<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for someone with around <strong>1-2 years of commercial experience<\/strong> who has exposure to both the analytical and engineering sides of data.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>1+ years&#8217; commercial experience in data analysis or data science<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>1+ years&#8217; commercial experience developing in R using RStudio \/ Posit<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong working knowledge of statistics and machine learning<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hands-on experience building or maintaining ETL\/ELT data pipelines<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Practical experience working with AWS, ideally including S3 and a managed database service such as RDS<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong SQL skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience working with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience writing reusable, tested code<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience using Git and version control<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>R experience is mandatory for this role.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Desirable experience<\/h2>\n<p>It would be beneficial if you also have experience with:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>MySQL<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Python<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Docker and containerisation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>CI\/CD pipelines<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Terraform or CloudFormation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Airflow, AWS Step Functions or other workflow orchestration tools<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Building APIs or packaging models in R, such as plumber or R packages<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>SaaS or software product environments<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Customer-facing or application support<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Social Housing data, research or analytics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About you<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be analytical, curious and comfortable getting hands-on with data and code.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll enjoy solving problems, understanding how data can improve decision-making and learning new technologies. You will design, build and evolve automation frameworks while working closely with software engineers, Product and BA teams to improve the quality and reliability of our products.<\/p>\n<p>Our technology combines modern web applications, APIs, databases, data pipelines, analytics dashboards and machine-learning technology. You will have the opportunity to investigate issues across the full technology stack, from the user interface through to the underlying data and application code.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Design, develop and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks using TypeScript and Playwright.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Build and maintain automated tests using Cucumber\/Gherkin and BDD principles.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develop scalable and maintainable automation using Page Object Model or similar frameworks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain and expand a large automated regression suite.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Run automated tests in parallel while maintaining reliable test data, isolation and execution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Investigate and resolve flaky or unreliable automated tests.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Investigate defects across the full technology stack and identify the true root cause.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use browser developer tools to investigate network requests, console errors, DOM behaviour, cookies and client\/server interactions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Validate REST APIs and request\/response payloads.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use SQL to investigate data issues and reconcile UI and API results against underlying database data.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Investigate data pipelines, ETL processes and dashboard calculations where required.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Read and understand application source code to support technical investigations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work with Git, pull requests, code reviews and CI\/CD pipelines as part of the wider engineering team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Identify opportunities to improve automation and prevent recurring defects.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide clear, evidence-based technical findings to developers and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contribute to maintaining technical documentation and QA knowledge across the team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About You<\/h2>\n<p>You will be an engineering-focused QA professional with strong commercial experience in SDET or QA Automation roles.<\/p>\n<p>You should be comfortable going beyond simply reproducing a defect. You will be expected to investigate problems independently, gather technical evidence and determine whether an issue sits within the frontend, backend, API, database, data pipeline, automation or environment.<\/p>\n<p>You will have:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Strong commercial experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer or similar.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong TypeScript or JavaScript development skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks rather than simply
