You&#8217;ll work alongside experienced actuaries in a supportive environment that values technical expertise and professional development.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>\n<p>Undertake internal model stress testing and calibration, analysing the impact of different scenarios and assumptions on the business&#8217;s capital requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support the setting, review and calibration of actuarial assumptions, using relevant data and experience analysis to inform the assumptions adopted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Analyse demographic and economic experience, investigate emerging trends and contribute to experience investigations and reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Produce technical analysis to support capital reporting, risk assessment and wider capital management initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Review actuarial students&#8217; work relating to internal models, providing technical guidance and helping ensure analytical outputs are robust and well supported.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contribute to technical projects supporting new product development, including developing methodologies, setting assumptions and analysing claims experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 [&quot;list&quot;,{&quot;spread&quot;:false,&quot;start&quot;:814,&quot;end&quot;:2019},&quot;regular_list_item&quot;,{&quot;start&quot;:1696,&quot;end&quot;:1867}]\">Support wider business initiatives, including work relating to the Matching Adjustment for the claims portfolio and a strategic partnership focused on claims management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work collaboratively with colleagues across the actuarial function, sharing technical knowledge and supporting the development of actuarial students<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\" data-pm-slice=\"3 3 []\">\n<li>\n<p>Nearly or newly qualified actuary, with no more than two to three exams remaining.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Life insurance background with strong technical actuarial experience, particularly in assumption setting, experience analysis, modelling or valuation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience of capital modelling, internal models, stress testing or calibration. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Familiarity with Prophet, GLMs, Emblem, R or similar modelling tools<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Knowledge of Solvency II or Solvency UK<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Must already have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why Consider This Opportunity?<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ll join an established actuarial team with significant technical expertise, a supportive culture and a strong commitment to career development. experience with a firm devoted to developing &amp; progressing their people, this ones for you.<\/p>\n<p> Whether you&#8217;re an External Auditor, with strong Financial Statement experience, or a current Deals\/FDD\/TAS professional who is a Databook whiz, this firm should be on your radar. <\/p>\n<p> <strong>Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters degree preferred<\/li>\n<li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred &#8211; will accept those who are in process<\/li>\n<li>4+ years of experience within Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals\/FDD, within a Public Accounting firm (Big 4\/Top 10 preferred )<\/li>\n<li>Experience with large, Public filers (Audit\/Assurance) &amp; High Value Transactions (Deals\/FDD)<\/li>\n<li>High degree of professionalism required- including the ability to communicate with C-Suite level individuals.<\/li>\n<li>Self starter, who can thrive as an Individual Contributor, or in a team-based environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB &amp;
