This is an opportunity to work on protection pricing, contribute to new product development and take ownership of pricing projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Lead protection pricing projects, from data analysis and experience studies through to pricing recommendations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Analyse claims experience, assess risk and support the development of pricing assumptions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Monitor treaty performance and provide insight to support pricing decisions and client discussions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contribute to new product development and improvements to pricing models, tools and processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Newly qualified or nearly qualified actuary (max. 2-3 exams remaining). <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience in actuarial pricing, ideally within protection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience analysis capability, with an understanding of risk and pricing assumptions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong Excel skills; experience with R, Python or VBA is beneficial.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/TmFvbWkuTWNHZWUuMTk1ODIuMTEzMDlAb2xpdmVyamFtZXNhc3NvY2lhdGVzLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Protection Pricing Actuary A leading global reinsurer is looking to hire a nearly or newly qualified actuary into its UK Protection Pricing team. Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Typically five or more years&#8217; The focus is on small and medium-sized businesses and their niche commercial risks, in the US, UK, Canada and Europe. In Europe our client has its own EU-regulated insurance company, authorized to write business across the EEA.<\/p>\n<p>Our client is growing into new markets and products, with a larger network of insurance market participants and a way of working that leans more and more on AI agents. Every new product, partner and market brings its own regulatory questions. To keep compliance in step with that growth, our client is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you will do<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are the compliance contact for the business. You work closely with Legal, Risk and the privacy function, and you are involved early, before products and partners go live.
