Our client is an international Financial Services Group focusing on Life Insurance, Asset & Wealth Management, Pension and Health Insurance. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place in Emerging Markets Asia, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Strategic executive in the Regional CEO Office supporting Strategic Initiatives in Emerging Markets Asia, based in Hong Kong.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- A senior member of the CEO Office covering Emerging Markets in the Asia region developing and driving corporate and business growth strategies and development plans at regional level across with particular focuses in supporting the CEO office.
- Working closely with the Emerging Markets CEO and Country CEOs to inform strategic decision-making and facilitate Executive Committee discussions.
- Lead high-impact engagement and communication efforts between the Asia CEO office, C-suite and senior leadership to ensure alignment on business-critical priorities.
- Drive strategic alignment of executive objectives, KPI and performance monitoring and management across the Emerging Markets Segment to ensure cohesive execution and measurable impact.
- Lead integrated performance reviews by combining financial, operational, and strategic KPIs, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance commercial focus and foster accountability across markets.
- Take a proactive role in identifying and assessing growth opportunities within existing and new markets, aligning the group’s strategic goals in the various markets.
- Recommend and build business case on strategic initiatives, articulate and translate ideas into execution priorities, action plans and transformation programmes.
- Drive and oversee strategy execution by partnering with local market leaders, monitoring progress and impact, proactively resolving risks and aligning regional and group level stakeholders.
- Communicate market insights effectively to the CEO, management and business leaders by evaluating industry trends, conducting market research and benchmarking, analyzing the competitive landscape and the impact to the business.
- Develop and deliver presentations to the management, support in strategic planning deliverables and timelines for management committees and leadership teams at Regional and Group level.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree preferably with an MBA or Master degree.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy, Strategy Consulting gained from Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Bancassurance, Wealth Management, Asset Management or Consumer Banking sectors
- Experience from leading international Strategy Consulting firms with Insurance sector exposure would also be considered
- Experience in supporting CEO office, Chief of Staff, Business Management type functions would be ideal
- Asia markets experience is a MUST, exposure to Emerging Markets would be highly advantageous
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
