As a Business Analyst, you will act as a critical bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of risk management solutions that align with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing predictive risk models while driving data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Actuarial, and Analytics teams to gather and analyze requirements for risk management initiatives.
- Work on the development and enhancement of predictive risk models to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and ensure alignment with technical teams.
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support risk management strategies, leveraging tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
- Support the testing and validation of predictive models and risk management tools.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive consensus on project goals and deliverables.
- Provide input into the design and execution of strategies to improve existing risk management frameworks.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the Insurance or Financial Services industry.
- Hands-on experience with predictive risk models and familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS (preferred but not mandatory).
- Solid understanding of insurance risk management practices, including regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
- A degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to Machine Learning or AI techniques for predictive modelling.
- Experience working on large-scale insurance transformation projects.
- Certifications such as CBAP, FRM, or equivalent would be advantageous.
