Detailed Job Description
The Compliance Analyst will work directly with Program Managers, MGAs, and other internal stakeholders to ensure products, filings, and operations comply with state and federal regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing compliance for assigned programs and lines of business, including Workers’ Compensation, assisting with state filings, and staying updated on regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance for assigned programs and lines of business, including Workers’ Compensation.
- Support state filings, respond to objections, and review product materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes using tools like SERFF, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, etc., and communicate updates to program partners.
- Assist in managing regulatory inquiries and draft responses to consumer complaints.
- Maintain compliance documentation, filing logs, and SharePoint-based form libraries.
- Conduct internal audits of program partners and prepare documentation for third-party audits.
- Participate in due diligence for new potential program partners.
- Provide compliance research, reporting, and ad-hoc project support to leadership.
- Assist in delivering compliance training to internal teams as needed.
- Collaborate in a high-impact, fast-paced environment with weekly team meetings.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in P&C insurance, ideally including Workers’ Compensation (periodic exposure is valuable).
- Experience with state filing processes; familiarity with SERFF is a strong plus.
- Background in product compliance, underwriting, or program support functions.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and MGAs.
- Enjoys working in a small, high-impact team where priorities can shift rapidly.
