Overview
Manage complex, high-exposure casualty claims, including litigated matters and severe injury losses, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role includes settlement authority, oversight of defense counsel, and mentorship of junior team members.
Responsibilities

Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex claims in a timely and compliant manner.

Analyze coverage, determine liability, set reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority.

Direct defense counsel and manage litigation strategy and expenses.

Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and internal partners.

Support team development through knowledge sharing and guidance.

Participate in mediations, depositions, trials, and claim reviews as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience in General or Professional Liability claims preferred.

Active adjuster license and continuing education compliance.

Approximately 8+ years of progressive claims handling experience.

Strong negotiation, investigation, and communication skills.
