About the Opportunity

A leading global (re)insurance group is strengthening its Actuarial Hub in Casablanca and is seeking a Senior Actuary – L&H Reserving to join a high-performing international team.

This role plays a key role in delivering IFRS 17 and Solvency II results, while contributing to reserving transformation initiatives and process automation.

You will be part of a diverse and collaborative reserving team working across multiple international offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and produce IFRS 17, Solvency II and local statutory results
  • Perform Analysis of Change across reporting bases
  • Review and validate experience studies
  • Support reserving calculations and reporting activities
  • Liaise closely with Technical Accounting, Pricing and Finance teams
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and robust controls
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance existing processes
  • Deliver high-quality analysis and value-adding insights to stakeholders

Profile & Experience

Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience in insurance or reinsurance
  • Strong background in reserving and/or actuarial modelling
  • Qualified or part-qualified actuary (or degree in actuarial science, mathematics, engineering or related quantitative field)
  • Solid understanding of Life & Health (re)insurance
  • Experience with actuarial modelling tools (Prophet, AXIS or equivalent – Prophet is a strong plus)
  • Knowledge of Python or SQL is an advantage
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Fluent English (mandatory)
