Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, development teams, and stakeholders to define and validate high-level system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve architectural and operational issues affecting infrastructure performance and availability on a global scale.
- Create and maintain TADs, technical documentation, logical diagrams, and system models to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
- Ensure all architectural documentation remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with evolving requirements.
- Research and assess emerging technologies for potential integration into enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Lead regional or enterprise-level initiatives when assigned, including ownership of planning, budgeting, timelines, resource allocation, and implementation oversight.
- Design, implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components following established standards and best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis, performance optimisation, capacity forecasting, and configuration management for internet-facing systems.
- Monitor production environments to ensure system reliability, stability, and long-term compatibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating system fundamentals, and web architecture principles.
- Experience in one or more core areas of internet infrastructure design and web systems administration.
- Knowledge of load balancing technologies, firewall configurations, and network security policies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, draw.io) and the ability to design middleware infrastructure solutions from the ground up.
- Experience gathering evolving requirements from users, application teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business and technical constraints into clear, complete, and operationally defined system requirements.
- Understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure design principles.
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery strategies, fail-over mechanisms, and routing design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in matrix and geographically distributed teams.
- Highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure in an independent work environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership mindset, and a strong drive to deliver results.
