Overview
A leading life insurer is seeking an Actuary to join its Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) Pricing team. This role offers a blend of team leadership and hands-on technical work, supporting a growing institutional business focused on delivering competitive and well-governed pricing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of actuaries supporting PRT pricing and reinsurance initiatives, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment

  • Oversee day-to-day pricing execution for U.S. PRT transactions, ensuring strong actuarial rigor, governance, and competitive positioning

  • Support pricing and analysis related to both affiliate and third-party reinsurance, contributing to strategies that balance growth and profitability

  • Serve as a key actuarial partner across investments, ALM, risk, and modeling teams to support assumption setting, experience analysis, and pricing execution

  • Contribute to broader actuarial initiatives including product development, reserve modeling, capital optimization, and ALM strategy

  • Support pricing and ongoing actuarial work across institutional and fixed annuity products

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of actuarial experience

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent credential (e.g., Enrolled Actuary)

  • Strong understanding of actuarial standards, regulatory frameworks, and professional guidelines

  • Technical expertise in modeling, with knowledge of ALM, capital, and risk frameworks

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to balance people management and individual contributions

  • Experience in pension risk transfer or institutional annuity pricing preferred
