Our client is a leading multinational insurance and financial services organization with a strong presence across the Asia-Pacific region. They offer life, health, and wealth management solutions to millions of customers.
This is the beginning of a complete migration from a legacy core insurance system to a next-generation, future-proof digital insurance platform. The new platform will fundamentally re-shape every aspect of operations and functions, delivering transformative experiences for customers, agents and brokers.
We are now seeking a heavy hitting, highly impactful Program Director with deep insurance domain expertise to own and drive this complex, high-visibility initiative from day one.
The Key Responsibilities for this position are as follows
- Own the full lifecycle of this large-scale, multi-year core system transformation program.
- Drive strategic alignment, program governance, risk management and successful delivery across all workstreams.
- Lead and influence a wide range of stakeholders – from senior executives to technical teams – with differing levels of seniority, skills and priorities.
- Negotiate and manage critical vendor relationships in China and Hong Kong
- Ensure the program not only delivers on time and budget but becomes the catalyst for operational excellence and market-leading customer/agent/broker experiences.
The successful applicants will have the following skills and experience
- Significant insurance industry experience (life, general or composite) with proven knowledge of core insurance systems and processes.
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multi-year digital transformation or core system migration programs at enterprise scale.
- High impact program leadership capability – you are known for delivering results in highly complex environments with many moving parts.
- Full professional fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English – non-negotiable for vendor negotiations in China/HK and senior stakeholder engagement with English-speaking ExCo members.
- Executive presence and the ability to operate effectively at C-suite level.
- Highly commercial and strategic mindset.
