Title: Senior Python Platform Engineer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid, 3 days on site)
Salary: $170,000 – $200,000

We’re partnered with a fast-growing consulting and technology firm that’s building out its U.S. engineering team to support large-scale initiatives across capital markets and enterprise data platforms.
They’re looking for a Senior Python Platform Engineer to help design and build high-performance data systems that power real-time analytics and critical business workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and scale Python-based services that handle large volumes of data in distributed environments
- Design and optimize ETL pipelines for both batch and real-time processing
- Develop event-driven systems using modern messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka, AMPS, or similar)
- Work on low-latency, high-throughput platforms that support mission-critical applications
- Partner with engineering teams to define architecture, improve performance, and solve complex system challenges
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, including async programming and concurrency
- Proven background building and optimizing data pipelines at scale
- Experience working with messaging systems / pub-sub architectures
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative engineering environments
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to financial services or trading environments
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Background in performance tuning and large-scale data processing
