We are partnering with a leading financial services platform to identify a CFO to support a growing structured funding and treasury business. This individual will sit on the executive leadership team and play a key role in both strategic direction and financial oversight across a multi-entity platform. This is a hybrid position in Downtown Chicago. Compensation base range from $225-350k with a total cash compensation of $550k.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial reporting, month-end close, and consolidation across multiple legal entities
- Establish and maintain accounting policies for structured products (e.g., derivatives, securities lending) in accordance with US GAAP
- Lead regulatory reporting and capital management efforts for regulated entities, including oversight of net capital and related requirements
- Partner closely with risk and compliance on regulatory initiatives (margin, counterparty exposure, reporting)
- Drive modernization of financial systems and infrastructure, working alongside technology teams
- Build and enhance internal controls, governance frameworks, and audit readiness
- Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, custodians, and key external stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and scale the finance and accounting organization
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- CPA required; additional credentials (e.g., CFA) are a plus
- Strong background in regulated financial services environments (broker-dealers, swap dealers, FCMs, or similar)
- Deep technical accounting experience with derivatives and structured products
- Familiarity with regulatory capital frameworks (SEC, FINRA, CFTC) strongly preferred
