The opportunity
A multinational life insurer operating in Thailand is seeking a Chief Agency Officer to lead and accelerate the performance of its tied agency channel. The business has a clear growth mandate and the backing of a regional headquarters with genuine strategic investment appetite.
This is a role for a leader who knows how to build – not just manage – an agency force, and who is comfortable operating in close alignment with regional stakeholders on strategy, standards, and execution.
What you will own
- Leadership of the tied agency channel: growth, productivity, and overall performance
- Agency recruitment strategy and management of the agent lifecycle from onboarding through to senior agency leader development
- Incentive structures, activity management, and the operational rhythms that drive a high-performance sales culture
- Relationship with regional headquarters – translating group strategy into local execution, and representing the Thailand agency model upward
- Regulatory engagement and compliance across the agency channel
Who we are looking for
You are a proven agency distribution leader with CAO or equivalent experience in a life insurance business of meaningful scale. Experience in Thailand or broader Southeast Asia is advantageous, though candidates from comparable markets will be considered where the distribution background is strong.
The regional dimension of this role means comfort operating across cultures and in a matrix environment is important. This is not a purely local execution role – there is genuine influence to be had at a broader level for the right individual.
