Statutory Reporting Consultant

Contract Statutory Reporting Accountant / Analyst

We are looking for an experienced insurance accounting professional to assist with statutory reporting on a contract basis. This person will support quarterly and annual close processes, prepare NAIC filings, and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements
  • Assist with quarterly and annual close processes
  • Support NAIC statement filings and related schedules
  • Prepare and review Schedule D and Schedule F reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Work with auditors and internal teams during reporting cycles
  • Help improve reporting processes and documentation

Requirements:

  • Experience with statutory reporting in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (Statutory Accounting Principles)
  • Hands-on experience with Schedule D and Schedule F
  • Experience with NAIC filings and insurance schedules
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred:

  • P&C insurance background
  • Experience with investments, reinsurance, or intercompany reporting
  • Prior contract or consulting experience
