Our client is a leading international Financial Services Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the company is now seeking a high-calibre Agency Strategy Director to develop and rollout strategic initiatives and transformation in Agency Proposition development for the Asia region.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- As a senior team member of the Asia Agency Distribution division, lead and assist in the design and execution of Agency Proposition initiatives incorporating Compensation and Product elements aimed at accelerating the growth and transformation of the Agency force in Asia.
- Lead the creation of a well-rounded agency value proposition, encompassing rewards, career development, recognition programmes and enabling tools, ensuring it remains attractive and relevant across diverse agency segments.
- Spearhead the formulation and continual refinement of agency remuneration structures, ensuring they drive business growth, enhance productivity, support high-quality hiring and retention, while maintaining disciplined acquisition costs and long-term profitability.
- Convert overarching objectives into clear, practical compensation guidelines that can be implemented consistently across different markets.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of Agency distribution strategies by monitoring market trends and the competitive landscape, aligning initiatives and roadmaps with stakeholders to drive sustainable growth.
- Support the wider division to drive mandates across both established and emerging opportunities including priority customer segments (HNW, Affluent), business expansion, GenAI-enabled sales tools, cross-selling, agent productivity and segmentation, compensation optimization, and other initiatives with strong long-term growth potential.
- Proactively assess potential acquisition targets across financial advisors and agency networks, providing support in identifying opportunities, evaluating transaction feasibility and contributing to post-acquisition integration and ongoing support.
- Partner closely with senior leaders, country CAOs and key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, prioritization, and delivery of customer-centric propositions and measurable business outcomes.
- Establish best-practice governance, operating structure, resourcing, budgeting and cost management for distribution initiatives and projects.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree with min. 12 – 15 years of relevant experience in Agency Strategy, Agency Business Development, Agency Distribution Transformation, Agency Proposition, Product Proposition, Strategy Consulting and / or Actuarial Consulting
- Good financial and quantitative analysis skills, actuarial training would be beneficial but not required
- Good life insurance and / or HNW products knowledge
- Strategy and Proposition formulation with project execution skills and ability to run multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Regional exposure or experience working with Regional or Group offices
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
