Senior Paralegal – Investments & Transactions

Overview:
A paralegal role supporting an in-house legal and compliance team within an investment-focused organization. The team works across private market investments including private equity, real estate private equity, and other alternative investment and transactional activities.

This position supports attorneys and business partners in a fast-paced environment, helping manage legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and transaction execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support legal and business teams on investment transactions, including:
    • Drafting and reviewing documents such as NDAs, subscription agreements, corporate records, and closing documents
    • Assisting with closings, amendments, consents, corporate actions, and similar processes
  • Maintain and update internal legal and compliance resources, including:
    • Templates, spreadsheets, checklists, manuals, and procedural documents
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research under attorney supervision
  • Identify and analyze legal issues and escalate appropriately
  • Work with outside counsel to help resolve transaction or compliance matters
  • Support regulatory and compliance initiatives, including securities and investment-related regulations
  • Help develop or improve internal processes, policies, and tools
  • Track multiple priorities and manage deadlines based on business risk and urgency
  • Provide input to attorneys and business partners on risk mitigation and process improvements
  • Contribute to broader legal or compliance projects across the organization

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate
  • At least 5 years of relevant paralegal or legal support experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in corporate law, transactional work, or governance matters (especially in investments)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance tools and processes
  • Ability to support drafting of policies and procedures
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Ability to interface with attorneys, business teams, and external advisors
