Position Overview:
We are seeking an entry-level Actuary I to join our Pricing team within a leading life insurance organization. This role will support the development, pricing, and analysis of insurance products, working closely with senior actuaries, finance, and product teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate early in their actuarial career to gain hands-on experience in product design, profitability analysis, and modeling.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in pricing new and existing life and/or annuity products, including assumption setting and profitability analysis

Build, maintain, and enhance actuarial pricing models (e.g., Excel, Prophet, AXIS, or similar platforms)

Analyze experience data to support pricing assumptions (mortality, lapse, expenses, etc.)

Support sensitivity testing and scenario analysis to evaluate product performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, underwriting, and product development

Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and management

Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal pricing guidelines
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field

1-3 actuarial exams passed (ASA track preferred)

0-2 years of actuarial or relevant internship experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Excel; experience with actuarial modeling software is a plus

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or VBA is a plus

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to life insurance or annuity products

Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Understanding of actuarial pricing concepts and financial metrics (IRR, NPV, etc.)
