Application Development Analyst – HRIT

Job Title: HRIT Application Development Analyst

Location: Jersey City, NJ – Hybrid onsite

Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000

We’re seeking an experienced HRIT Application Development Support Analyst who will play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our HR technology landscape. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both internal stakeholders and our external managed service providers to support and enhance cloud-based HR platforms-particularly Workday and other SaaS applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on technical support across a range of HR systems, with a strong focus on Workday and integrated SaaS platforms.
  • Act as the first line of support for system issues, working with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure swift resolution.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and help drive overall system stability and efficiency.
  • Support ongoing HR technology projects, including system enhancements, upgrades, and HR transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with business and IT teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Assist with maintaining data integrity across HR systems by supporting data entry, audits, and quality checks.
  • Support data imports/exports, ensuring alignment with key HR processes and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and external vendors, to support service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Help translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa.
  • Work with internal HRIT and Production Support teams to identify automation opportunities and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute to developing scalable, standardized solutions that enhance employee experience, efficiency, and quality.
  • Ensure that all solutions adhere to corporate policies, security guidelines, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Assist in fulfilling internal and external audit requests related to HR technology.

Skills Needed:

  • Experienced: 3+ years in technical support or systems analyst role, ideally within HRIT. Hands-on exposure to Workday and Cornerstone or similar HR applications is highly desirable.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiar with system administration, data structures, and integration tools. Exposure to SQL, Excel, or reporting platforms like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Comfortable working with data, solving problems, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborative: A team player who thrives in fast-paced environments and can effectively work across multiple teams and projects.
  • Adaptable: Able to manage shifting priorities and navigate ambiguity with a positive, solution-focused approach.
  • Compliance-Conscious: Aware of data privacy and compliance regulations relevant to HR systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR, Business, or a related field-or equivalent work experience.
